I remember when this video came out and everybody was mindblown about Slipknot showing glimpses of their faces in a music video. No one, or the great majority, didn't know who they were under the masks.

I was 18 when this song came out, started working right outta high school, bought my first car (86 Volvo 740 GLE, no turbskie, 4 speed manual w/ push button overdrive), put a decent sound system in it and would BLAST this song as loud as I could! This song was hard for 2004 🤘
How long did the public not know who they were since their debut?
@@locomojoboy2 I honestly don't remember when was the exact year i found out who they were, the all nine i mean. I think we all progressively came to know them under the masks one by one as people leaked backstage photos or short videos with fans. It was huge back then.

This song and album is from 2004, not 2009. This album came out when I was 12 and it's what got me into heavier music.
I notice that a lot of "older" music videos were uploaded circa 2009 or 10. I mean, UA-cam wasn't created until 2005, so it makes sense.

To be clear, the video was uploaded to UA-cam officially in 2009 (after some issues with the record label and UA-cam), but the video was originally released in 2005. Song is from 2004.

2009 was right after UA-cam started. I know this because we were watching a video on another channel and someone pointed out it said it was from 95 but the UA-cam posting date was 08. The song is great obviously and so was the reaction

After Slipknot month you should check out Corey's other band Stone Sour. They're as good as Slipknot imo and also have great songs. Inhale is my personal favorite.
When I first heard stone sour it sounded a lot like Slipknot but know that I’m reading this comment it makes more sense

Loving this, it's my birthday this month so this is kinda like a present! Would highly recommend killpop, the devil in I, XIX (maybe put that together with another one as its short, but incredible pain in that), and please, please do The Negative One! So few reaction channels have, so would be an awesome end to slipknot month!
By this time when this came out I had seen Corey and Jim with Stone Sour and Joey with the Murderdolls no masks of course.

Even though it says that the video's came out in 2009, that's just when they were posted to UA-cam. Psychosocial came out in 2006 and Before I Forget came out in 2004.

They're not 2009, but that's when UA-cam started taking off and posting videos...this is actually 2004, psychosocial was but 2008
You could always just check Coreys' other group Stone Sour to see him without the iconic Slipknot mask too

@@CharisSellick I pitched the idea! But if I had to choose a song you should listen to first, you should definitely check out "My Curse" by Killswitch Engage. There's the original version then the radio edit/alternate version. The original has screams and the one seen with the music video is the radio edit, but both sound great nonetheless.

My feedback on Slipknot month? Hmmmm... how do I put this? It ain't charcuterie (but then, honestly, that's an incredibly unfair comparison), but it's definitely better than Lorna Shore... somewhat. Would I ever listen to these songs again on purpose? No. Will I watch most any video you put out because you're fun and likeable and have a bonus hometown rooting interest? Yes.
