This was a much more difficult exercise than expected: 1982 Stalker 1983 Destro 1984 Firefly 1985 Dusty 1986 Leatherneck 1987 Outback 1988 Storm Shadow 1989 Night Viper 1990 Ambush 1991 Red Star 1992 Roadblock 1993 Ace 1994 Shipwreck 1984 and 1985 were easily the hardest years. 1991 is more loaded than expected, too. And, thank you, Rob! Effects looks like a Cobra! For *years* I remembered him as one of the bad guys and when I started collecting Joes in college it was a "Wait. What?!" moment to discover/realize that he's a Joe.
I finally bought the Cobra Z25 Condor. What a beautiful jet. Seeing it in your videos all the time and then finally getting one. So happy one of the best Christmas’s ever.
I just realized it as you guys are picking your favorite figures from each year and as I look at the lineup with shipwreck, I can’t help but think how much they all look like characters out of the village people.
1982 Short Fuze. He was the first figure I ever bought and he had my human avatar's first name. 1983 Destro, for obvious reasons. 1984 Baroness, for obvious reasons. 1985 Crimson Guard. 1986 Lifeline. 1987 Armored Cobra Commander/Fred. 1988 Iron Grenadier Destro, for obvious reasons. 1989 Night Viper. 1990 S.A.W. Viper. 1991 General Hawk. 1992 General Flagg. 1993 Zartan V2. 1994 Shipwreck V2.
1:01:16 Yellow Wetsuit was my favorite of all the Joes as a kid. I think because his old-timey diving helmet looked like a knight helm. Last time I used YoJoe, pre-pandemic, bits and pieces of it were being lost to oblivion because the owners weren't maintaining the site, or some such other issue. Did it bounce back?
