Very easy and clear explanation provided for patients, families, Med students, Nurses and MDs. Thanks so much Dr. Great job!!!.
Thank you for this simple and easy demonstration of how to locate the area of the MCL.
Marking the anatomical structures was very helpful. Thankyou!!
Fantastic video mate very simple to understand can’t beat experience thanks as had injury but can see Dr at moment
I'm a heavily visual learner and this was fantastic. I'm still waiting for a diagnosis a month and a half post injury and at this point I'm watching everything out there to get an idea of what to expect, and how to best answer the doctor's questions. My answer to where does it hurt changes every week so this was so so helpful.
I currently have this injury and this test looks extremely painful!? How was it
@@MrAriek10 oh no sorry to hear! A year on and I'm still recovering, but mostly from muscle paralysis - they didn't see me until 5months post-injury... (because you know, pandemic). In the end it was my patella tendon. On the bright side, surgeon told me I would have been up and done sooner with a ligament injury, so there's that. The physio has been long and hard, but less painful than I was expecting by far. Good luck and hope it gets fixed soon.
excellent video. I've been searching utube on the mcl injury and this is the only video i've seen where a person has actually marked the knee with a niko pen to show where the mcl is located. This is such a good way of showing people where it is exactly . It really helped me out to confirm that i have had a slight tear to my mcl. i wish you were my doctor, i went to see a doctor she didn't even explain anything to me about the knee, just said take some anti inflamatory pills and see you later. i think because it wasn't her knee throbing with pain she couldn't give a shit.
unfortunately some doctors are like this; they provide zero explanation and show a complete lack of care.
Same..
Most doctors do not give one shit about you! They disregard what you are saying in favour of theirs and act like gods/goddesses among men. They do not listen whatsoever and lack enthusiasm for diagnosis and treatment.
Some have zero empathy and just want the $$$$$! Shameful that they call themselves physicians!
Yup
Thank you so much.. Really helpful.
Thank you.
great video ! thank you !
Sir thank you for your video, its really helpful.
I have a question
Can we give heat to the mcl in 1st and 2nd degree of mcl strain?
Yeah, I’m 100% sure my MCL is sprained or turned. I will find out soon from a specialist visit.
My knee feels like it's out of line popping out of place almost locking up st times. Most painful thing I've done I'd lay in bed and lift my left injured knee sideways to get in bed. I can't straighten or bend all the way.
Lol just watching that hurt my MCL
how fast did u heal?
This was so helpful. I smashed my inner knee on my desk and it is so painful to bend my knee and walk for extended time. I'm 100% sure I injured my mlc. And years ago I injured my meniscus on my other knee so I'm doing awful 😂
Would the valgus stress test make it hurt if there is an injury?
Yes, Mcl is exactly placed here,
Sir, you are a 100% right
Since last week I have Mcl sprain on the same right leg knee and the exact place as you marked.
Sir, please tell me the treatment soon
You are a good Dr. Thank you!
How did it feel when you sprained yours? I think I have just done mine
@@patrickmitchell3258 you hear and feel a huge pop, its gets swollen and you can't contract your leg at all. All that at the same time and is bound to last for days.
I shot the ball and in that motion someone knocked my knee out of position and i instantly felt the pain.

@@Elias-xh8xm Had a Grade two Tear of same...plus hairline fracture of the tibia plateau that was eight months back... Grade Three of same would have been a Rupture, was put into a hinged leg brace for eight weeks with two crutches for support then after four weeks, just one crutch and the hinged brace for the next four weeks...came out of same perfect took light physio for a few treatments then light exercises at home, month by month getting full function back... the kicker was i did it in my early thirties, nearly thirty years ago and back then didn't get the right treatment then always had that weak leg and both legs would blow up with fluid on the knees as i was loading the other,...once i trashed it again and after getting the right treatment both came back as good as New...Lol....
@@malachydonaldson9813 Ultimately what was the correct treatment? Very interested since the first treatment was incorrect.

Was holding up a trailer door and when I set it down my knee bent sideways a little ad I heard a crunch/pop. Pretty fun lol
Hi
Having trouble understanding. Have the same pain, landed badly doing wrestling. I don't really understand what to look for. Is it good when you can see it move or what is normal?
I think it's bad when you see it move
What procedure is needed for this findings "there is complex tear seen in both lateral meniscus with lateral extrusion of the body of the lateral meniscus, measuring 4.5mm away from the inner tibial plateau."
Did any one have symptoms of buckling of the knee??
Has this guy injured his Mcl? I was screaming when they tried to do bend my leg
My stomach flipped watching this because I currently have this injury and can't bare the idea of this movement
Hey, four days ago I hurt my knee playing basketball. A guy ran into my knee while he was driving for the ball on the court. I hurt it (knee) from inside (MCL side) it kinda hurts when I press it. Didn't get any swelling though. I also did the MRI but idk why it says grade 1 ACL sprain when there is no pain on ACL side.
Idk what to consider, whether it's ACL or MCL. I'm doing icing 3 times a day. What else should I be doing. Please help.

saurabh patwal, I am facing same issue...Did you find answer for your question?
Hello Doctor, it’s been 8 weeks since my grade 2 MCL tear.. how long should I continue to wear my brace even after healed? I will be playing soccer again soon should I also continue to wear it while I play, if so for how long? Thanks !
ARE YOU BACK ON FIELD??
@@jeevansinghrawat2456 nope! Still not fully healed and my mri shows no surgery needed but that it’s still healing

Please consult with your primary doctor- unfortunately we are not able to provide a specific diagnosis without treating you personally.
did you finally go to the doctor? what was it?
Predictable1 I have a torn ACL and a torn meniscus. Idk if that will help, and I felt around the same thing
That was a grade 1?? Seemed to move a quite a lot
