I'm a heavily visual learner and this was fantastic. I'm still waiting for a diagnosis a month and a half post injury and at this point I'm watching everything out there to get an idea of what to expect, and how to best answer the doctor's questions. My answer to where does it hurt changes every week so this was so so helpful.

@@MrAriek10 oh no sorry to hear! A year on and I'm still recovering, but mostly from muscle paralysis - they didn't see me until 5months post-injury... (because you know, pandemic). In the end it was my patella tendon. On the bright side, surgeon told me I would have been up and done sooner with a ligament injury, so there's that. The physio has been long and hard, but less painful than I was expecting by far. Good luck and hope it gets fixed soon.

excellent video. I've been searching utube on the mcl injury and this is the only video i've seen where a person has actually marked the knee with a niko pen to show where the mcl is located. This is such a good way of showing people where it is exactly . It really helped me out to confirm that i have had a slight tear to my mcl. i wish you were my doctor, i went to see a doctor she didn't even explain anything to me about the knee, just said take some anti inflamatory pills and see you later. i think because it wasn't her knee throbing with pain she couldn't give a shit.

unfortunately some doctors are like this; they provide zero explanation and show a complete lack of care.

My knee feels like it's out of line popping out of place almost locking up st times. Most painful thing I've done I'd lay in bed and lift my left injured knee sideways to get in bed. I can't straighten or bend all the way.

Grade Three of same would have been a Rupture, was put into a hinged leg brace for eight weeks with two crutches for support then after four weeks, just one crutch and the hinged brace for the next four weeks...came out of same perfect took light physio for a few treatments then light exercises at home, month by month getting full function back... the kicker was i did it in my early thirties, nearly thirty years ago and back then didn't get the right treatment then always had that weak leg and both legs would blow up with fluid on the knees as i was loading the other,...once i trashed it again and after getting the right treatment both came back as good as New...Lol....

Hey, four days ago I hurt my knee playing basketball. A guy ran into my knee while he was driving for the ball on the court. I hurt it (knee) from inside (MCL side) it kinda hurts when I press it. Didn't get any swelling though. I also did the MRI but idk why it says grade 1 ACL sprain when there is no pain on ACL side.
Idk what to consider, whether it's ACL or MCL. I'm doing icing 3 times a day. What else should I be doing. Please help.
