I used a 1:5 ratio vinegar/water soak in a 50 gallon plastic drum to remove rust from all parts that would fit into the barrel. Way easier than sandblasting and no effort required. 5 to 7 days remove parts and lite scotch brite rust just falls off

Sandblasting with sand tends to harden the surface, like shot-peening but in miniature. Media blasting would be better but still hardens the surface: plastic, pulverized nut shells, dry ice. I used naval jelly on small parts. But I got impatient and couldn't wait a day or whatever. So I used steel wool to speed up the process.

Warping in metal during a media blasting event is not caused by heat, it is caused by peening of the media. It doesn't matter if it's dry or wet blasting.

I've been told of issues after dipping; mainly stripping effluents coming out of trapped areas in the body and eating your expensive paint job.

He said in a much earlier vid that he takes special care to get those hollow spaces with the water blast. Probably need to let it dry in some eccentric direction before the repaint.
