This was so helpful. Thank you so much. I just bought a tablet yesterday and today I bought Pattern Keeper. I watched your video, marked up my colourings from my paper copy on to PK and I'll be ready to go when I get home from work today. Can't wait.
Thank you for this tutorial. It was very clear and logical. I have been deciding which app to get and this tutorial has swung it for pattern keeper. Some of the other videos have quite confused me. Being older I was concerned about computer use but you have made this sound so easy and I love that you see your final picture emerging.
Nice job ..... you must be a teacher! So easy to follow along with you.....very precise and quick! Thank you for taking the time to explain this game changing app.
Excellent video for Pattern Keeper. Your presentation is very clear. Maybe a new tutorial to explain how new options for double tapping, etc., would be very helpful for new users.
@@taunismausi You have to change the search and then the thread symbol will be shown. Maybe I could add it in the long-press menu so that you just long press on a stitch to see the thread number?
@@PatternKeeperthx for your fast answer. I was trying to find a tutorial about it but I had no lucky 😅 I'm new in this parking method. I really love your app. long press on the parking stitch sounds really intuitive.
Great tutorial! I'm a long time stitcher but always used paper patterns, but I recently ordered a HAED without the large print and having such a hard time. I bought a 10" tablet JUST for this program. Now to figure out how to convert whole pages to highlighted without doing each individual color symbol lol! Thank you!!!
Congratulations! I love HAED. But the large charts can be daunting. Do you grid your fabric before stitching? It helped me tremendously. You got this! I'd love to see your progress, feel free to join my Facebook group page. Link in the video description. 😁
@@beautifullymade2304 I started mini 'Wedding Kiss' (from Outlander) last month and according to the app, I'm almost 3% complete lol! I also started mini Mewnicorn for a break from the DARK colors from the Outlander's super darkness. I don't grid the entire piece, but I do grid the first page's bottom to keep track of the beginning stitches. Gridding actually makes me lose count, weird I know! I've done other large full coverage pieces before but never HAED, but I will definitely join your group and show updates. Thank you for your help; it was really easy to follow and set up :-)
Thank you very much! That was my goal. When I switched to PK I failed to find a tutorial that was to the point and comprehensive. So I made my own! I'm glad you found it helpful. Please subscribe, I'll be posting more videos related to cross stitching soon.
Very nice been wanting to learn and try my kindle. Question is this the same for small patterns not cull designs. I really no nothing about this new way for patterns 😊
Thank you for this tutorial, it definitely showed me a few features I wasn’t aware of! I have been looking for a way to change the aspect to landscape mode within pattern keeper. Is there any way to do that? ( my tablet cover keeps it propped up nicely that way ) otherwise, i’m looking for things to put under it awkwardly. Thank you!
Excellent video, thank you! Does the app work this exact same way if you scan in a picture of a printed pattern, or do you have to purchase specially formatted digital charts?
Hi. Thx for the video. very helpful. Just getting ready to begin my first multiple page pattern designed by Jan Hicks. I’ve asked several folks as well as Jan this question. Pattern Keeper didn’t pull in the correct “vertical” center of her pattern. I printed off her pattern and did the calculations as I always start in the center. PK did pull in the correct horizontal center. Has this happened to you or have you heard of it? I even emailed the developer and she still hasn’t answered. Any help would be welcomed. Thx much.
What if the pattern is not not a HAED? you mentioned "if your pattern is a HAED" and also how do you put it into pattern keeper? Dorry but that was not explained
I know that some designers are not supported on the PK app. I would reach out the the PK company for technical issues. They have a Facebook page which is super helpful. facebook.com/groups/363515547861846/?ref=share
This says nothing about saving progress or exporting progress or how to import progress and how to start again...I lost all my progress because no tutorial covered this very important step.
Best Pattern Keeper tutorial yet! All my questions were answered with no unnecessary gabbing in between! Saving this one!

English is not my mother tongue and yet because of your very clear speech, I feel I was able to understand everything. Thank you so much!
That is very kind of you. Thank you.
Thanks so much. Old guy and newbie here. I appreciated you getting me started. A great 'quick start' video!
Thank you for a really great Pattern Keeper tutorial. I've seen several and this is by far the most informative, straight forward and easy to follow.
Frog and Fudge , hahahahaha I love your name! 🤣🤗
@@TxgrlnGa Thank you Lisa; I'm very familiar with those technical terms. Happy stitching, Diane 😊

will this app work on windows 10?
I am trying to find your app but I cannot ... is it restricted to some countries? Thanks

I just got a Samsung 8A 10”. I watched you video and would like to know what stylus you are using? I have seen pros and cons. Thank you.
So helpful!
WOW, wonderful

Yay! I'm so happy you found this tutorial helpful. I'll be posting more cross stitching related videos soon.
Please specify that this app can only be used on Android and not yet available on IOS Apple. Thank you in advance
Another android plus lol
Great tut . Can you explain how to get the pattern intoPK.
Hi! Thank for your tutorial, but I have a question... I can't add my dmc chart and so I have no symbols... how I have to do? Thanks ☺
Thank you so much
Really helpful
Very helpful! Thank you! :)
I'm glad I was able to help!
Thanks for making this video. Very helpful. Where did you get your stylus?
Thank you. The stylus came with my tablet. I'm using a Samsung Tab 10.1
Great tutorial! I have iPads and iPhones, thinking of getting something I could use this app on. What device are you using?
Thank you. I am using a Samsung Tab 10.1, but any 10 inch tablet should work.
Pattern keeper will not work on an iPad. 😩
I learned how to park my thread, but I have no idea what the purpose is. I feel there must be some benefit, but can't guess what it is. Help?
Thank you so much!
Thank you very helpful
What stylus are you using in this video? I’m on the hunt for a hard tip stylus
It's the Samsung pen, some Samsung tablets are compatible and damaging note phones.
How much is it for the full version? My husband is worried about it being one time or monthly charge. Thank you!!
Hello! Does the tablet have to be 10 inches for the app to work? I was thinking of buying a 7 inch tablet. Would that work?
Please don't think i'm dumb, as this might be a very dumb question...will this only work on touch screens? Can i use a mouse?
Thanks for the tutorial, can you help with how to pay for the program?
I hope they make pattern keeper for iOS soon.
Super helpful video ❤️
Awesome! I plan on posting more helpful videos related to cross stitching soon.
How do you get your pattern on there if you have brought it and don’t have it as a PDF please
What if the pattern is not not a HAED? you mentioned "if your pattern is a HAED" and also how do you put it into pattern keeper? Dorry but that was not explained
How do I get the DMC and synbol list on the side?
Can you put any pattern into this app ? Mirabilia etc
Hallo, I have just put pattern keeper on my tablet. When I tap one the icon I do not see te beginning…how can i get there ? Thank you!
I’m not sure if you answered this question
Asking it before I watch it
QUESTION: Can I use put my PDF charts that I bought on Etsy on Pattern Keeper?
Yes you can. All mine that I've uploaded so far are from Etsy purchases. One or two I had to add a few colour numbers in for but was easy enough to do
I really want this for my ipad! would it work with a kindle fire?
It does.
Can pattern be scanned and placed on pattern keeper?
When I download a pattern suppose that are on the screen are not the same as what is on my paper what am I doing wrong

No option for apple 😢
Just a heads up. The iOS version hasn’t been released. So, this is only valid for Android users, Samsung, and etc, but not iPads or iPhones
Thank you!
