Been playing moonkin all of SoD. Just started to get some offspec feral pieces, so I thought I should try it out. Thanks to this video, I was able to learn a lot, making feral really fun. Might even switch to feral main in phase 5.
Great video. It's always a pain having to explain Feral Druid to my guild or randoms who ask - I don't mind, but there's just so much to cover! Linking this video will be much easier. Thanks for putting all the information neatly and succinctly into one place. :)
Loved the information my friend !! I was in a debate with other guild members if I used sharpening stones if that affects my wild strikes very pleased to hear I was correct 🎉
Hi, great guide first of all. I have a question regarding hit raiting because I have 7% on equip, 1% FF and the Ring rune and still sometimes miss abilities which drives me crazy sometimes to miss rake or rip especially. Any information on how much hit needed to not miss with abilities?
Miss is a different result on the attack roll than parry or dodge or block... against a mob 3 levels higher than you (e.g. bosses in raids at max level for current content), you have 9% chance to miss (significantly higher when dual wielding), 14% to be parried, 6.5% to be dodged and 5% chance to be blocked... you can nullify parry and block chance by being behind the target. Adding hit chance lowers that 9% base (weaponskill can reduce the base amount of miss chance). Expertise was introduced in TBC and reduced chance to be parried/blocked/dodged. Any time you attack from behind with zero weaponskill bonuses and no hit chance, you will not land an attack 15.5% of the time (dodge chance + the difference of hit chance vs miss chance). Assuming you have the feral combat rune and 6% hit chance, you will not land an attack 6.5% of the time while behind the target. From the front, the numbers go up by 14% with a 5% additional chance for a block (rake for instance will be completely negated by a block, but most other abilities will just have the damage reduced some). Dodges/parries/blocks are misses using general language, but they are not misses within the context of the attack table, as miss has a very specific definition on the attack table. It's even more complex than what I've explained, but I won't bore you further with the whole weaponskill vs defense, white vs yellow attacks and glancing blow talk. Basically, just take away that not landing a hit is not necessarily a "miss" in Classic... if the logs are showing misses, rather than parries/dodges/blocks and it's not rake specifically, check for the feral combat ring rune and 6% hit chance from gear (or 5% with T1 set bonus and make sure FFF is on the target).
Placeholder for any fixes needed
Is discord still up. Link fails

10/10 nice guide, good job bro
Unbelievable, I can't believe blizzard would take away the thrilling gameplay of farming 100 crowd pummelers per raid. Great video though :^)
what an awesome guide! the discord link seems not to be working though!
Thoughts on ACLG or is 308 feral combat diminished returns? Great video bro. 🙏
If you still don’t know I’d join the Druid disc n pop that question in there. I’m a Warrior main just on the pooper n bored lol

Do you mean a dodge or a miss? If an enemy completely BLOCKS an attack then it counts as a miss
