I can give you a much simpler approach : Assuming that you made your cribbage board on the router. Take a piece of 1" thick MDF ( aka Medite ) that is a couple inches larger in both X and Y dimensions than the crib board and clamp it down to the router bed. Route out a pocket in the MDF of the crib board's outline about 0.250" deep. When I do this, I try to make it about 0.001" too tight in the X and Y dimensions to make things a tight fit. Put your crib board over the pocket that you've just routed out and press the crib board into the pocket. Do not use too much pressure. If it's too tight, route the outline in the MDF a bit more but just enough to make the fit tight. I would put a bit of scrap wood on the crib board and using a light hammer, tap it into place or however you see fit. Now the router knows exactly where the crib board is in the X and Y orientation. Once you have the crib board firmly in the grasp of the MDF board, zero your router to the top of the crib board and you're set to go. I usually do not need to clamp the object ( the crib board in your case ) as the MDF, if routed just right, will make it a really tight clamp. Now go ahead and fix those peg holes or whatever you need to to. I do this not just for fixing an existing project but also for making completely new projects where I need to machine both sides of a part. I would be happy to send you some pics if you like. The beauty of this method is that it will work with just about anything including really irregularly shaped objects. For example, let's say that you routed a shape like a boat anchor with all kinds of curves and few straight lines. Use this method and it will work just fine.

Almost exactly how I machine both sides of a guitar neck and keep the centerline!

LMFAO😂🤣😂, I see Kevin has jokes! That was absolutely hilarious!!
Not Grandpappy’s 1900’s (Prehistoric) Dodge City Kansas Mantle Wood 🪵!! Why that there was the very same mantle that Ms Kitty & Marshall Dillion had their first fire 🔥 under. It’s absolutely irreplaceable & now you wanna place it there on that fancy do-dad machine & turn it to ash!?

I have a Z axis problem. While attempting to clean the rails, ball bearings fell out what’s the fix?

You should never take the bearing blocks off the rails or, as you found out, the bearings can fall out. Contact support, and they'll help you out.

@@carbide3d Thank you, I have left them a few VM. I see now the issue In sliding them off the rail but my question would be how to you clean the lower bearing blocks. I guess they aren’t meant to be serviced. Thanks again for the info.

Maintenance of your machine is recommended. Here's a video on bearing maintenance: ua-cam.com/video/SE-36MmjrMQ/v-deo.html
