i have looked for the last two weeks and i havent seen anyone do a kiku, night's flower deck. i was wondering if any of you guys have ever experimented with her or have considered it. i would like to see a deck using her for a general.
Great deck. My Skithiryx deck is similar, yet deals heavily with more 'control' in multiplayer games. Mono black can only do so much, but can do quite a bit. Great vid.
If you want good recurable creature destruction for mono black check out Slaughter. It unfortunately only gets non-black creatures, but having buyback is pretty good.
Great vid. You don't run basic artifact ramp but I'm guessing thats on purpose? Aside from that your deck could use erratic portal and if you think vamp tutor and demonic are overpowered you can try some transmute affects to tutor out swords and stuff. Your draw engine could benefit from skull clamp bloodghast and if you don't want that you could use trading post and more artifacts. Duplicate is great with that card and good all around removal. You can also beeseech the queen for him I think
also i dont see what is so wrong with beseech the queen. it is a very handy search card. dont have enough lands/mana to search what you really want, search a search that gets you whatever you want.yeah i know that alot of ppl will say thats a waste of a turn and a waste of good mana. but such is the way around my playgroup, it happens quite often. because if we do it then we have a damn good reason as in we need that card but this didnt get it.
I would like to see someone playing a Kiku, Night's Flower deck... sitting across from me in a game. I picked one up a few months ago (hording black legends), but she is so underpowered I haven't put her in anything. Four mana for her activation cost makes her pretty unplayable.
Strata scythe says it has to have the same NAME as the imprinted card. Not the say TYPE. Urborg makes it a swamp in addition to its other TYPES. Urborg does make them count as swamps as a type but it does not change their name. I recommend that you read cards more carefully and refrain from insulting others intelligence before improving your own. If this still is unclear to you please look up the rulings for the cards in question.
I don't like running Eldrazis or high cost guys like Blightsteel because of Bribery. It's a staple in blue and I think there's nothing worse than losing a game to your own dude... :/
I think Skithiryx is really overrated. An infect deck needs to be as fast as it gets, and the dragon with its 5mana cost is just too expensive. If you play infect, you should try to end the game in the 5th or 6th step max. That's why I run a mono-green Infect deck with a lot of pump-stuff. I can finish (with the best hand you could imagine) in the second turn.

Have you looked into playing hatred? There's a Skithiryx player in the play group I play in that usually kill shots someone with it.

Kiku dosen't kill indestructible creatures, and the four mana activation cost makes it worse than Royal Assassin. Are you playing Royal Assassin?

@8izzi8 I'm running a skithiryx deck that only has him as my creature count and it kills on turn 2 with a good draw and 3 or 4 on a mediocre draw
