I was just playing the Yak-9K and tank busting while watching Phly or listening to music. I then though, 'I wish Phly played more big cannon CAS'. So I refresh my UA-cam to then search for some. then BAM! fly comes out with a video of the best big cannon CAS plane. Perfect timing.

There's something about planes with big guns. I know they can carry bombs that do the same job better and safer for the plane, but being able to almost look your adversary in the eye while destroying them is really exciting.

Having that Yak chase you all game, thats just how you play this 262. People all the time get mad that they died to a 262, then will throw their whole game away chasing you. No idea why, but I never let them have that, never.
Because at the BR they're omni-present but so hard to deal with as with all German jets.
I believe that was the best Yak player in the game, judging by how brain-dead it appeared.
Yup! I confirm, pretty much 90% of my games in the 262 ends up with at least one player wasting their time chasing me with a prop plane...
These people have not evolved beyond their dum dum primal brains and cant think of anything else to chase the guy that killed them.
I often do that in p51h, because p51h is a plane that is made to shoot those air tanks

i always liked cannon airplane gameplay, to me it takes a lota skill to not crash the thing and not die from return fire, not to mention the armor is angled most of the time when your shooting at side, or top, and depending on the tank can make it difficult
Still one of my favorite *earned and unlocked* jet fighters. So satisfying flying low level and goin for side armor/SPAA/LV's
This plane is actually the best training plane to learn ballistics, I played this plane in arcade modes, improved my shooting a lot.

Please play hell let loose with oddbaws and spookston. You all would have a blast in a tank together.
To be very honest the tank gameplay in Hell Let Loose is kinda mid. No weakspots to shoot at so when you face a heavy as a medium you are dead.
@@jimmy5516 not true, panther has turret cheeks that are weak and basically any side or rear shot will pen on most tanks assuming your not using something light
@@opairsoft8100 I was talking about weak spots. Unless the enemy is clueless you will never get on the side or behind a tank and even if you do get to the side of a tank they will obliterate you (If not for the 10 anti tank units swarming your tank immediately and kill you) in your medium tank with their heavy because they can just turn their frontal armor at you and they are invincible. The only time i have somewhat fun in tanks is when i can drive a Jumbo 76, Tiger or an IS-1. Otherwise tank is just pure pain and even if you got the first kill on their medium, you will die by a heavy not long after because they will have enough fuel to spawn a heavy and it will hunt you down. There is no driver port or machinegun port to exploit and shoot tigers or panthers on for example, limiting the skill ceiling to pure luck that your team gives callouts and the enemy team being absolutely blind and deaf with a clueless commander.
@@jimmy5516 the skill ceiling isn’t pure luck, with a experienced crew it is possible to fight heavies using mediums depending on map.
It’s also semi realistic (using the term realistic very very loosely) in that you generally wouldn’t be going for weak spots that are generally so small that you can’t reliably hit.
There is also some level of “weak spot” knowledge that is required even for tanks of equal class depending on shooting angle
I remember pre-pandemic when ppl would play the insane combo of this plane and the Ru 152 Light Tank. 2 or 3 man teams would just be the most annoying thing ever, besides the Nord spam.

To be fair that guy in the 2nd battle most probably hopped on a tank game to play a tank game and got killed by an airplane. As someone that can average 5-10 kills a match just to be suicide bombed I support him. At least the 262 requires skill but dealing with suicide P47s and whatnot every single match the hatred for any plane builds until it's all that you are anymore.
Bombs are def easier to kill with since you just drop it in the same zipcode and it will delete them. But yeah planes are way too easy to get and use.

I got a free talisman for the Narwhal many years ago, back when the Mig 15 was top tier. I instantly fell in love with it, i learned to use the cannon and won many matches by just running around destroying ai tanks.
I thought so much that the yak that didn't leave you alone was me but i wasnt on the player list you showed. Had a few matches in my yak where all i did was chase Me 262s around. Not trying to kill them (low ammo/bad shot) just herding them away from my team.
Best game was 3 262s were up on Berlin, spawned up yak3P after they had around 3-4 kills each. Shot down two stukas then actually got one 262 in a pass with last rounds. Without ammo I herded the other two all the way back to base then didnt let them back towards the map after they took back off... completely changed the tide of battle felt so good.
Poly I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The 262 is my favorite plane. Keep playing any variant of it!

coming from someone who stopped playing War Thunder after around 8 years. It is so impressive how you make this game so fun and provide so much entertaining content. I lost interest in the game for a multitude of reasons but i still always love watching your videos. @@p-kpp110 i want to think that the 50mm in the Me-262 takes up a larger percentage of the plane’s space than the A-10’s 30mm, i could be wrong though
@@nipplecream3099 I tried doing the math just for fun but I don’t think I’m getting good numbers. Wiki says the 50mm weights over twice what the GAU-8 does. By length, it’s pretty close, at 6.06m/16.26m (37.2%) for the A-10 and 4.12m/10.6m (38.9%) for the ME. I don’t think the ME OAL includes the barrel sticking out, not sure if the A10’s length includes the muzzle either.

That janky cannon reminds me of the US XA-38 Grizzly, its a 3.7 BR twin engine strike plane with a 75mm cannon. I love using it in GRB and even naval, only thing is it flies like a drunk brick.

In Air AB you can bring this down to 5.3 and theoretically fly against 4.0 props. No-one will catch you, but they will all try. It's the funniest game of tag.

Phly, love the videos...))) I don't play WT myself. I'm more of a FPS game type but I do love watching your videos. I read a long time ago about the Americans putting a 75mm in the nose of a B-25 and it still had all its other MG's. Might want to check it out.

I personally am of the opinion that the F4U-7 with 114 sneb rockets and a ripple control of 4 is the most fun in a plane one can have. Outside of just doing ridiculous challenges with friends in random vehicles which is where true war thunder fun is at.
