Hey Phly, this is actually #2 for bomb load for a single engine, first is the AM-1 Mauler at 5.7, it can carry 3x 2000lb bombs along with 12x 250lb bombs equaling a total of 9000 pounds of payload!
Also the most hilarious thing is Gaijin used to not count the weight of the jettison-able rocket pods (or rocket racks), so A-1H can carry up to 5000kg+ if carrying a full rocket load (171FFAR), three 2000 pounders, two 250 pounders and a toilet (even without the toilet the loadout still have 5020kg lmao). You cannot do that now but that loadout can still be chosen if you do add it before they change how they count custom loadout weight limits.
BTW the highest ground killing potential for A-1H imo is 40 Zunis (maximize the zunis, they are so good)+52 FFAR+6*500lbs in center racks is also not creatable now (4884kg), now the best probably goes back to all bombs with 18*500.
The antibiotics killed the bacteria, but you had more damage in the areas where the infection had the most time to eat. The places with the most damage take the longest to heal.
Can you imagine how much life sucked before antibiotics and germ theory? Oh, got a cut from a thorn? Wrap it in this dirty rag and hope we don't have to lop your whole leg off!
The antibiotics need the whole course to kill all the bacteria. It gets most of them in the first assault (hence feeling better quickly), but the ones who, by chance, are more resistant, stay alive for the first few attack waves --- and with the ability to double in 20 minutes, stopping early means raising a whole guerilla gang of them who'll not be reacting much to antibiotics. Note also that some tissue is slow for antibiotics to get to and through. And of course, cytotoxicity is a real problem, too.

And there is not that much money in researching antibiotics. Luckily we have learned in the last few years to use AI to find new possible combinations that may work, so there is still a chance.

a2d1 is sometimes extremely powerful, and sometimes it gets completely denied. but when it doesnt get denied by enemy air, in hands of a competent pilot, it wrecks havoc. 9 of 10, one of best cas planes in the game. not only the bombs are good, also the cannons can do severe damage to enemy medium tanks
Hi phly, you should try another bomber with 4000lbs bombs, the B-29. It now has the biggest explosive mass carried right now if I'm not wrong, used to be Tu-4 but now those 4000 pounders just have too much filler. Get well soon btw.

I'd like to see you play out the B-29 in ground RB with the new bombs. But if you want a single engine bomber with proper CAS abilities, use the AM-1 mauler. Three 2,000 pound bombs and twelve 250s, it has the ability to wreck most of the enemy team. It handles like a greyhound bus, but that bomb load makes up for it. It was originally in the lineup prior to the skyraiders, but the latest update moved them down and folded the mauler in with them so you have to research both skyraiders before you can unlock the mauler. I consider myself very lucky that I already had the Mauler researched, since I have a Har time seeing a good reason to research the skyraiders. I loved the video. I hope this is proof to the war thunder community that anyone can have bad games. Hang in there, they get better eventually!
