We just travelled to Namibia in July now and I got the idea from your video to make our own travel map, looks so awesome to see our own travel map of the trip and now we can share it with others, thank you for the idea! Namibia was so beautiful, I would love to go again.
@@StNickTravels I do have a question actually! We will be staying at the Okaukuejo camp (but in a bush chalet which has a braai and we prefer to cook a few meals rather than eat all at the lodge). We've read there are some rules around bringing meat in or out of the parks (so hoping to grocery shop before we enter Etosha)... did you have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!
@@jillianflesh3066 Yes we did the same thing! We visited a Pick n Pay in Windhoek before heading up to Etosha and bought and cooked all of our meals, meat included! Never had anyone check our vehicles or anything but did interact with park staff at entrances. It was quiet when we went near the end of COVID though.
What a great video, thank you for the insights into your trip. My family and I look forward to visiting in the future. How many people can fit in that car tent? And did you deal with any tyres puncture?
Thank you so much for the support! So that tent is definitely for a max two adults and maybe one child BUT they do have models that include two rooftop mounted tents. No tire issues but I believe we had two spares plus an air pump so definitely covered there. Let us know if you have any further questions!
I just got back to Australia from Africa. I didn't get much time in Namibia but did visit Chobe on the zambizi river peninsula. I could literally see lions from my lodge porch. Did you get up to the North east near Victoria falls? Its the best elephant watching (on the Botswana side) id seen all holiday. Oh and yes, the sunrise, sunset was incredible
How cool! Any lion sightings are fantastic, much less right from your lodge. Unfortunately, we never made it up to Victoria Falls Dallas, but just another reason to visit again soon, right?!
We did bring the drone as the rules were quite vague when we went! We were sure not to fly it at all in Etosha or Sossusvlei when the rules were quite clear but it is a large and sparse country so we were able to fly it on some of our drives and by the ocean when it wasn't a disturbance. No issues at customs but they didn't really check for anything or acknowledge it. Always recommend checking and following the most up to date rules!
Thank you! Leaving in march for 24 days! Great video. To the the point. Awesome.
