Harpers Ferry: Hallelujah! My return to the AT, after being off trail for a month due to foot injury

- Hi everyone! Nonnie here.
Today, I arrived in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, to return to hiking the Appalachian Trail after having to come off trail due to problems with my feet. It’s one month later, and I'm thrilled to return to try again.
My husband and I visited the headquarters of the ATC, toured this beautiful little town, and walked over the iconic C & O Railroad trestle, over the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.
Ahhhh... there's no crying at work. (Yes there is). Glad to see you on the trails.

Enjoyed the visit to Harper's Ferry. The coutyard at the ATC was beautiful. Haven't seen that before. All the flowers and homes around there are absolutely beautiful. Yes, it is gorgeous!! I would come back here to visit. It's interesting, historical, the people here are very nice, the food us extraordinary, and nature is at its best, especially with the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Wonderful.

That looks like the 2010 Katadin sign. I kissed that sign twice first time when I summited Katahdin second time When I visited the ATC center in Harper's Ferry

Welcome back! When you get to the Warwick NY area, around mile 1360? there is great ice cream stop called Bellvale Creamery. Lots of hikers go there. If the schedule works out, I'll treat you to a dessert! Let me know if interested.
