I can't wait until this stand arrives at my local shop. Perfect for my pub/small club gigging kit.I wasn't a fan of some of the new retro stands that were out there from DW, Pearl, Gibraltar, Ludwig, and Canopus, which isn't distributed in my country through any music shop, but Tama seems to once again have addressed the significant problems these other stands had. The Ludwig base was too wide, leaving little to no room for pedal and snare stand placement. The DW wasn't stable, and had movement with quick playing, and also had too much of a wide base. The Pearl is well constructed and looks great, but has the widest base. Gibraltar weighs almost as much as a traditional single braced stand, still making it quite heavy and bulky. Tama has solved all those problems with flying colors. Thank you, TAMA, for making this stand for us "working stiffs" who always end up with a "stiff" back due to lugging around heavy hardware that these other companies consider to be "lightweight". ;))
Why not make the legs swivable? Its the only feature I'm missing! The top part is knurled all around, So surely it could be done? Sure, It would mean you'd have to put it back to its original place every time you pack it up. But I would love to be able to use it with a double pedal.

Tama's R&D is top notch - everything you need, nothing you don't.
Had the DW retro hard ware kit. The Tama hardware is soooo much better. No comparison. Tama: always thoughtful, always logical, best build quality.
Love me some Tama Hardware.
Defiantly going to buy this along with the other Tama classic stuff
Mine just came in, waiting on the classic tom stand, will be set
Didn’t show if you can remove to upper tube and pull rod. I’d prefer to have the stand sections separate so i can use a short case.
What a sweet little groove...oh wait, yeah that's a nice little stand too. I have the opposite TAMA, the Titan.
Yup! Need one bad. Great for travel needs has tama got a travel kit yet
Can the Speed Cobra double pedal fit with the classic hi-hat stand givin the legs take up more room?

I've used it with my Axis and Trick many times. The high hat let fits under the bass drum pedal footboard. No issues.
Hello does somebody knows if this can use with double pedal??
Awesome
I have this but it keeps tilting forward whenever I have my cymbals on it. Any help or advice please?
What is tilting more specificly?
waouh great!!!!

Man, no swivel...bummer. Otherwise, I'd be sold.
Gotta spend 800 on old ass wfl hardware now
It can´t swivel! If it would, I sure would buy it...but so...
