There is also no mention of updating apps on endpoints for those users who installed software optionally. When pushing out apps, pushing the update is fine but when you make an app as available to install, it becomes optional. When a user installs an optional app and needs to have this app updated, you end up with multiple copies of the same app in Intune with various rules in place and then it becomes a mess. There needs to be an easy way of saying "Install as Required IF a previous version is installed".

What is the process if a customer has a requirement for customisations to the app? Can you attach a MST to the app (if it is an MSI) to apply any specific customisations that they require?

Will this capability populate the app logo in the future? While not strictly speaking necessary, it definitely improves the user experience for self-service apps in the Company Portal.

I was so excited about this until I saw the demo screen and the text that says "When it becomes generally available, your Global or Billing Administrator can add it for an additional cost to the licensing options that include Microsoft Intune". You've heard the complaints and headaches that we are having and are finally solving the problems but the solution will only be available to those that can afford it. Thumbs down.

I've just realized this is an Intune add-on 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

I thought this would be so much farther ahead than it is. PatchMyPC, Scappman etc. are so far ahead of this and optionally cheaper. I hope this keeps getting built up but the features are lacking and the app list is tiny. Have to pass until this is much more mature. ROI doesn't make sense.
