Thanks Walker, great video. A lot of this chimes with our experiences. PS App Deploy Toolkit gives you very good control over the user experience of app updates. The Win32App wrapping process is strange and clunky, but it works, and it's all scriptable. If you're pushing an app to 1000 devices at once, we find Intune gets that done a lot more rapidly than CM ever could. For my org, making CM go away was a huge win - despite the 'holes' it leaves behind. Reporting needs a lot of effort, like custom log analytics dashboards. A lot of our reporting is still pretty manual, which isn't great.

You don't need to expose the whole registry in the Intune UI, but tools to add/remove/check for certain keys/values in a simple to use UI would be much more convenient than powershell scripts (even getting settings from values inside a powershell script is frustrating), and not everyone has Remediations so running these scripts as one-off with fingers crossed is less than ideal...

The best practices with Windows is to copy your files to an external drive, figure out how to boot from USB first in the UEFI/BIOS, turn off secure boot, plug in a live stick of Linux (Mint is good), and click on Erase disk and install.

I have a question regarding Mac computer login. How can users log in using their Entra ID on existing Mac devices? Is it necessary for everything to go through Autopilot, or is there an alternative method?

Hello, I dont know who to contact. I experiencing more than 2 months bugs from the partner center app submission process. Sofar I done some things via work arounds but at some point I am really tired, I feels like that its obstruction in some sense. App submission shows bugs, also developing against the store apis attempting to validate whether or not the constomer has done a purchase. I contacted Microsoft by phone but it redirects to the contact forms. When using the contact forms their is hardly any response, teams point to each other because its not there responsibility, the dev team hardly response and suggest me to release an app in development stage to production available for everyone which is just like saying take financial and reputational damage. I am really stuck with Maui Windows Store App development.

Licensing. Is the cost 2.40/device for licensing? Or, is it more of an "technician" or "operator" cost. Meaning, if per device, if I had 100 devices managed by Intune, it'd be $240/mo?

I'm struggling to find a way to trace what script/program writes down a specific file under a specific directory at startup, meaning like when I start my PC, the file is already there so I can't trace after using Procmon, which would mean I need to use the boot thing mentioned in the video but for some reason I can't find what program writes down this file.

Mark Russinovich's work over the years with computer systems and security has been nothing short of amazing. I would like to hope that in the future though, SysInternals would automatically find, discover and flag all vulnerabilities within a system, create and generate a report with the findings and then give the option to the computer user whether or not to eradicate these infiltrations, delete them or quarantine them. It takes too long for normal users to learn this stuff and we all deserve a higher level of protection than what is currently being made available to the public. I believe SysInternals can provide that higher level of protection.
