Yes, finally! I've been using the Japanese module since it was launched and so far so good. Looking forward to more card sets and for the Mandarin module!
Gabriel, your book changed my life, I just found out about your app!! I'm excited to get it. Though, to be honest, drawing my own goofy pictures on an index card and doing the leitner has blown anki and memrise out of the water as far as retention, so I'm always a bit skeptical of the digital SRS at least for me personally. However, you're the dude who taught it all to me so how can I not try the app?
As an advanced learner Ive been trying it out for free so far and its definitely a lot easier and simpler to use than anki. It seems to be focusing more on learning vocabulary and grammar but there don't seem to be any options so far to learn individual kanji yet. If im learning 食べる for example Id like to have the option to make a flashcard for 食 with the options to make more cards for each reading such as 食う and 食事, as well as a flashcard that can test your stroke order for writing. Is that something that would be in development later on?
This is something we're looking into for the future but it's not currently available in the app. However, take a look here about a great partnership that we have for Chinese/Japanese learners for learning writing systems: help.fluent-forever.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055101512-Will-I-be-able-to-practice-writing-in-the-app-for-Japanese-
@@FluentForeverApp It looks interesting and I would definitely be willing to try that out but at the same time I dont want to have to pay another montly subscription for an entirely different app altogether. Thanks for your reply though. :)
Hi Quinn! Dutch is in development, although there is no current ETA on that yet. Please keep an eye on our Language Development Schedule. It will always have the latest updates for all of the languages we are currently working on. view.monday.com/152775401-3fcec2523d528aec8e1f45b1f4379e52
WARNING: I tried a two-month "free" trial. They still charged me when it was almost up and before I had the chance to cancel which I was going to do finding the program insufficient for my needs. I guess if they do this enough times they can benefit financially at your expense. As an added "bonus" since I didn't know about the charge, it went overdue with the cc company and may now ding my otherwise excellent credit rating.
Hi there! We are sorry to hear about your experience. The charge should not happen before your two free months end and it's possible to cancel at any time. We'd be happy to look into your subscription status and assist you further. Please don't hesitate to contact our team via the form below: help.fluent-forever.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
@@FluentForeverApp My "free" trial ends on April 24 (it's now April 20) so, yes, it shouldn't happen, but it did. I went into my FF account yesterday (after I got the credit card alert that I was past due) and canceled. So, hopefully, I won't be charged again.
Hello, thanks for the additional information. Please don't hesitate to contact our team so we can check on this and confirm the cancellation. We are happy to help!
Hi Derek! Vietnamese is likely to be a part of our Learn any Language feature coming to the app. We don't have an ETA on when that will be available but it is on our development roadmap: view.monday.com/266759143-a2a191bc5a8f59fd491fcc27fbca9513
Hi there, This is indeed something that would be super cool. However, voice recognition software is currently not able to detect language as such for it to be useful for langauge learning and reviewing. It looks like it is, but it only listens to tone and pitch. Once we have a reliable voice recognition system and AI available, we will definitely be interested in learning about it and seeing if we can implement it in our app.
Fluent Forever I mean app record my voice and repeat like the echo. No need voice recognition system. your app is awesome. please consider this opinion.
Hi there, That might be an interesting idea indeed. Thank you for letting us know about it. What we will do is add it to our list of feedback and ideas and see what the team can come up with. Awesome!
Hebrew is currently in development! If you keep watch on our Language calendar it will show you where we are with it and other languages currently being worked on. 😊 view.monday.com/152775401-3fcec2523d528aec8e1f45b1f4379e52
Yes! Japanese was the original reason I bought the Fluent Forever package 3 years ago. So glad it's made its way into the app!
Hi there! Thank you so much. We are so excited to be able to offer it there! Thank you for your support!! 😊
Same here!
Same!
Same xd
Happy to hear that. Been waiting for this :)
Hi Josh, We are very happy that the wait is over. To infinity, and beyond. 😜
A warm congratulations to Gabe Wyner and the Fluent Forever team! May your Japanese App truly become a success.
From a reader and fan of your book.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate your support and kind words. 😊

Please, do a video on secondary articulation.
Sweet! I've been waiting for this! Only wish I had noticed a month ago...

Hello Stephen! We're happy to know that Gabe's book has helped you with your language learning goals, and we can't wait for you to try the app! 🤩
Very excellent professor
Japanese is the only reason I wanted the app too, thanks for seeing it through!
The pleasure is ours, Jack! We hope that you continue to enjoy.

Not yet, but it is on it's way! 😊

Would love for Arabic to be on the app!
We're happy to let you know that Arabic is on the way! We're working on it currently and hope to have it ready to go very soon.
Will that be MSA or will it be a dialect like Egyptian, Palestinian, etc?
It will be MSA. However, other dialects will be available to learn as a part of our "Learn Any Language" feature. :)
