That's literally the definition of the word "Pirate". Heck, the origins of the word lay in the old french word "pirate" as well as the medieval latin word "pirata" meaning "sailor, corsair, *sea robber".* And in old english, their ships were called "oeofscip" meaning "thief-ship". And just for fun, here's a definition of the word from the 14th century: "a *sea-robber, sea-plunderer,* one who without authority and *by violence seizes* or interferes with the ship or *property of another* on the sea".
So yes, by the very meaning of this word, they literally, very much do take what they want by force.
Don't forget: The Straw Hats are the exception, not the norm. They are pirates in name only. In any other way, they are simply adventurers.
Anyone gonna calculate if he stared at chat more than the screen? Because I'm sure he missed a lot of the film.
Like, this is the one film with actual story in it, but it's this one that Ruff barely seems to pay attention to. Ruff also seemed to have insane lack of sympathy for every non strawhat character (maybe Kuzan excluded) for seemingly no reason. Hating Zephyr, Kizaru, Akainu, Garp and especially Sengoku. XD
This was a let down for me, but it's my fault for hoping anything in the first place. Should always just remain neutral. Though no hate for Ruff. He can be however he wants. Like I said, my expectations = My problem.

@@bapo224 I don't hate him one bit. Though I suppose it does come down to the point of view. (Empathy, lack of empathy; Rationality, irrationality; Hate, love, indifference etc.)
Most of his reaction videos are like that, he likes to read his chat and talk over the video and misses half the content while doing that.
That is the most annyoing thing about most streamers. They focus too much on the chat. I get it chat is important and stuff. Just discuss stuff after the whole or only to yourself while pausing.

Out of Strong World, Z, Gold, Stampede and RED, my order is:
1. Strong World
2. RED (Uta was recently confirmed as a cannon character like Shiki, which means her childhood with Luffy is cannon but not the event of the movie)
3. Z
4. Gold
5. Stampede
I know a lot of people love Stampede but I hated it. It had no story and was just entirely fanservice fights. Some characters that are here don't really serve any purpose and appears for like 5 seconds. I also know that a lot of people didn't like RED but personnally I love Ado and her songs

Z was a great character, his death keep deliver a strange feelings into my spine, it's a mix of sadness and pride, like i've never saw someone fight to death as crazy as Z and Whitebeard, but the Ost for Z is what buy me for this movie
Z is still my favorite movie but Film Red is close

Zoro fighting Ain in this movie is one of my favorite Zoro fights ever

This film is still my favourite, although Red comes a very close second.
Dead End no Bōken is my favorite movie. But Strong World and Stampede are my fav of the newer ones! I just saw Red yesterday, it was so good!

I don't understand the unnecessary and pretty non reasonable hate to the non straw hat characters ruff has, I mean hating basically every marine for no reason most times, hating zephyr, hating kizaru, sengoku, even akainu, I mean what if to hate about akainu in this movie? Like I don't understand just the unnecessary hate for characters that aren't the straw hats

Pretty sure it’s Mihawk that cut Zephyr’s arm off….considering that Oda recently confirmed he used to hunt marines
Not it wasn't him, it said to be a pirate that joined the warlords after time skip, that eliminates mihawk, so it was either law or weevil, since law was too young at the time to do anything, it leaves Edward weevil the one responsible for cutting the arm of Z
The warlord who cut his arrm had a devil fruit
It took me a while to adjust to post-timeskip Franky but I definitely prefer him to pre-timeskip
I have a Film Z Chopper plushie from like 2012 or 2013 that's dressed as final fight Luffy and has a giant chunk of meat on his back. Very cute.

Off the top of my head:
-Seeing all of the Stawhats training in detail
-How they all got back to Sabaody even having been taken OUT of the grand line
-Ace's fight with Blackbeard in full
- Aokiji's and Akainu's fight in full and the Marines reactions.
-How the Revolutionaries came together
-The lives of the other worst gen pirates
So much more that he could really get into that would be such gifts for us One Piece fans 😭
I mean we saw Ace and Blackbeard the full fight they both went for theyre final move. But for the rest you are absolutely right

You know, you might be on to something. After Oda finishes One Piece, he could continue to get profit from making movies of different key events. As a OP fan, I would still watch it after the anime is completed, so he has plenty of time to make it happen.

@@Greed97 Strong World, Red, and Z are the only good One Piece movies with an original story. Most that try fall flat on their face and/or turn into contrived garbage like Film Gold. Stampede is great because it embraces being a fan service film.

25:35 Oda already mentioned he won't make any new stories after the ending if I'm remembering it right, he even mentioned how he wished he didn't made Warlord cause that make the anime way longer and he only thought of Emperor at first, he even get's only 3 hours a sleep so it's best for his health to not continue. Who in the ever living hell actually thinks Stampede can compete as even being close to a good movie compared to movies like Gold, Strong world or Z? It was so ridiculously bad and nothing but fan service with a shitty villain.
Gold is not one of the higher tier One Piece movies. Art and animation are all it had going for it. Gold’s plot is very contrived and stupid.
