I don't quite understand the point of play probability.... will it not randomise what notes are played each time you play the mix through?... and thus make it impossible to 'lock-in' your track ready for mix down?

Great upgrade. Love all the new features. One major problem for me. I use EZKeys2, EZBass, EZDrummer3, and Superior Drummer3 in almost all may projects. All previous versions of Cubase I can take MIDI from the track line and drag-copy into either one of these Toontrack Programs so I can make changes, then drag it back into the project track.. Cubase 14 Pro will not let me do this. I have to load a project into Cubase 13 Pro, make my adjustments, save, and load back into Cubase 14 Pro if I want to use it. I don't know if it's only my copy. I wish Steinberg would fix this Bug. New Cubase 14 Update. 14.0.10 Everything is working fine now. Thank you Steinberg.
Also does not work when recording MIDI on instrument track and trying to drag-drop midi into Tap To Find. This is another great feature lost. This from Steinberg support: Arne_Scheffler November 7 We did found this issue also a few days ago and there will be a fix in the next bugfix release.
hi, the velosity scale does not work in my experience. i still have to manually draw the variance, and iwhen i move variance slider to scale around absolute center, all velosites remain at identical values, which makes this pointless because in cubase 13 i still had to manually draw my variance in the velosity pane. something just seems to not work as intended, could you demonstrate further how velosity variance is properly done?

I have almost never used that menu and I have been using Cubase since SX 1. I just turn on write automation, move the parameter I want to automate while the track is playing, right-click the track list in the project window and "Show Used Automation", and the lane appears in the project window.
@BillSherry I know this trick. You forgot 2 final steps - you should enter editor and remove written automation (because it was written just to create automation track). You’ll also probably need to restore parameter value because you moved it just to create automation. In total you made 5 or 6 or 7 steps. In Studio One, to create automation for parameter I just touch plugin’s control and click icon in top-left corner. It’s 2 steps. In Reaper, automation track can be created by 1 click on control while special key being pressed. I think Cubase should have something like this.

What you see is not the actual monitor. It‘s just a video composition, an overlay in the video with perspective distortion and a shadow effect so that you get the impression of an actual monitor.
That display is actually fake bro. It's made bigger as a digital effect in that camera view, you can see his actual monitor from the other camera angles (it's not that big and more far away from his eyes)

Mix console in lower zone and channel reordering are great, but I feel these should have been included a lot of versions back, and it seems like we are charged for small advances in each version, which already should have been there.
just wondering if these comments are real people or just bots. I started with Cubase 11 pro, then 12 pro then 13 pro. With each upgrade it created more problem then it solves. It looks like management of the Steinberg is thinking on solving problem that doesn't exist. The only reason I did upgrade to 13 pro is vocal chain plugin. One suggestion, please focus on getting thing sound better as fast as you can instead of constant reshuffling menus
Great tragedy!!! On Mac it crashes constantly, there are serious missing symbols in the score, which seems to work, when it doesn't stop, don't buy it!!!!

yes, but you can just record the sequence as audio the one time you want to commit to a fixed sequence and there you have it locked

Great features. But please guys: Don't simply use and rely on samples and midi features: modern music is generic and boring enough already. 😅
You are mispronouncing "variance" btw. It should be VAR-ee-ance, not var-EYE-ance.
