some might find if the cables are not the problem they can disconnect the battery and tape the power button down for a long blooming time, (some tabs have a big problem with building static somewhere in the system.
First thing you need to do is try a friend's charger, to see if the charger is the problem. If that doesn't work then your battery needs replacing. Good luck!
Ok my son has a zeepad 7.0 we had lost the charger for a few months and finally got a new one so we charged the tablet but now it shows the first two screens and then goes black and it doesnt do anything else. Hello, I have an old phone that I bought about one year ago . It's an alcatel OT 995 ultra. A few days ago the battery ran out completely. It's a lithium cell. What happened was very strange. As I plugged in the charger it was trying to charge, but it just kept boot looping. I replaced the old battery with a new one. But the problem is that the phone isn't turning on, just like in this video. It is charging the battery, I can see the little Led light that indicates its charging.I also used a portable battery and it was drained, so the new battery is fine. But there is no battery icon. Can you help me out with this problem. I would like to try this method, that you used in the video.But before I do that, I would like your advice.

Currently I've popped it open and found the internals to be slightly different than in the above video, perhaps a different model, and all the connections look secure. However where the connection goes to the screen there appears to be heated or discolored adhesive; so perhaps the issue isn't a bad battery connection. The original owner stated that they had left it on the charger for "a wile" and upon returning found no signs of life where before "a wile" had passed they had it functioning; so perhaps a surge. Any tips on gaining ADB on a broken screen device? I run Linux on android so even if the screen is bad I can still up-cycle it into something useful.
i hear at 0% charge you need to get it to at least 2% to get the android to allow the charging management to control charge. i hear at 0% the charger when plugged in flash charges for 20 seconds in hopes to get enough to the battery to allow the previous mentioned charge management to run (being bootstrap controlled) i hear when it is not charger, cable or battery condition itself that you can plug it in repetitively many times for 20 seconds at a time until you have enough for the battery to power the board and start this management routine. i removed the battery clip, powered buttoned for 30 seconds, i removed all power supply, grounded, and then crossed the input reds and blacks (WITH NO BATTERY NO CHARGER NO POWER AT ALL) to discharge any static. without luck and am in the process of the 20 second thing, which i did do successfully the other day. i have seen this many times with phones. maybe you have some enlightenment on these theories of mine? ty.

All you have to do is hold down the power n volume button down for 10 seconds then release the volume button while on the charger. It may take a few tries

Nevermind, i got that to work. but now my screen is all glitchy and weird, going between black spots to inverted colour to crazy white scanlines and vice versa. I had that issue before it died, but usually it would fix itself in a few minutes after turning itself on. Not anymore.

+Jv131999 4ever First step is the same as the other tablet, you need to check that the 5v from your charger is getting to the motherboard. Get a multi meter to check behind the charging port. Good luck!

Hi alwaysafix, I have a Dragon Touch 10.1 that just will not turn on. The light at the top is green and have charged it over night and still nothing. The support told me to do a Y88 firmware re-installation but with out the power it will not regonize the micro that I put it in. Do you have any ideas as to what else it could be? I opened the case but did not see any wires lose. Can a battery be died but still show green at the top? When I take the charger off the tablet there is no green light anymore.. thanks
I need to know how to measure the battery life of a tablet with a non removable battery that will not start (dont know if its bricked, or if the batt is just too dead...). Its a micro usb. I was wondering if I could cut off a piece of a charging cable, plug it into the port, and measure the voltage with a multimeter on the cut off end of the cable. I dont know how many wires are in a micro usb cable, but I'm guessing a wall charger may only have 2 (because its only function is to charge micro usb devices, and can only be plugged into a wall) Will this work to measure battery voltage on micro usb devices? If not I really could use the help, as I also have a few more lipo powered things that have no battery display, and are charged through micro usb. thanks if anyone can help!

Hi, my tablet stucked on welcome screen, it doesnt want to go further. It doesnt bother me, I just want to access memory on that tablet. How can I do it? I tried to connect via USB to computer, but it doesnt appear there, well I see two new drives, but I cannot access it. (probably because tablet is trying to run android system), when tablet is switched off, nothing happend and I still cant access those drives. I though maybe I could open tablet and tried to connect from there? or any other ideas? It seems I have nand flash Would appreciate any help.
Battery wont charge. FIX.. do the hard reset. Delete all the system files (wipe factory data) It wont erase any exeternal memory cards you may have plugged in so dont worry. The wipe basically erases the problem with the device. (its a software issue not a batter hardware) The software caches the status of the battery. if it thinks the battery charge is almost drained it will save the system files and automaticly shut down. Next... you must charge the device again with the device pluged into the computer. once charged and while still pluged in, start the device. it may ask to reinstall its firmware. after thats done you may need to let it charger again, via the computer so that the device creates a new accurate status of the battery. thats it,,, hence forth charge the device connected to a pc. remember its a software issue not hardware. Also,, when the device is up and running, the first thing ya wanna do before reinstalling apps is to get the device firmware update and place it on an external usb memory card for the device, if you already have one then simply add the file. if the problem happens again, you can reinstall the operatins system from the external usb memory card.

Have you worked on any samsung galaxy tab 10.1 tablets. I have one that worked fine. Went to bed next day nothing. No power wont do anything when plugged in to wall or computer tried 2 other power cords and wall adapters which work on my other tablet. I swapped the battery for a new oem from samsung even left it disconnect for an hour before connecting the battery to the board. Left it on charger for a day tried putting it on usb computer trickle and nothing not flicker no icons no lighting not recognized by computer?? Any ideas?

Hi. Thanks for this great video. I have a similar problem. I didnt use my tablet nearly 1 month after last charge. I tried yesterday but It didnt switch on. Also I left tablet on charging 1 hour but still not switching on. I checked charger with multimeter and It is ok. After I opened my tablet back cover. I checked flex cables and re attach them, but no chance. I also checked charger socket and It is ok too. Lastly I took out battery and try to charge with another charger. The charger is electrical socket type battery charger. It charges every type of battery. I waited 1 hour and soldered the battery again to tablet board. Tadaaaa! It worked. But tried again with original charger and no chance again. It is still not charging. No battery charging signification on screen. What should be the problem? Battery?
Really useful video. My tablet had issues. It would once go on and the other time it wouldnt. Sometimes it would go on only after i plug it. Now it doesnt go on at all. It could be a bad connection on the power jack. It needs to be taken apart to make sure the soldered joints of the power jack to motherboard are in tact. Good luck!

@squeeze louise It sounds like you have a loose cable. Do not shake it again. Keep your fingers crossed that it says in working condition.

I have a Dragon Touch 10.1 that just will not turn on. The light at the top is green and have charged it over night and still nothing. The support told me to do a Y88 firmware re-installation but with out the power it will not regonize the micro that I put it in. Do you have any ideas as to what else it could be? I opened the case but did not see any wires lose. Can a battery be died but still show green at the top? When I take the charger off the tablet there is no green light anymore..

I need to know how to measure the battery life of a tablet with a non removable battery that will not start (dont know if its bricked, or if the batt is just too dead...). Its a micro usb. I was wondering if I could cut off a piece of a charging cable, plug it into the port, and measure the voltage with a multimeter on the cut off end of the cable. I dont know how many wires are in a micro usb cable, but I'm guessing a wall charger may only have 2 (because its only function is to charge micro usb devices, and can only be plugged into a wall) Will this work to measure battery voltage on micro usb devices? If not I really could use the help, as I also have a few more lipo powered things that have no battery display, and are charged through micro usb. thanks if anyone can help!
Hi ,i have a tab 4 just bought few days ago,it was 90% charged when i used it and i was using my note 3 and then switch back to my tab 4 and it wouldnt on it was almost fully charge and it was completely fine a few hrs before,i did not physically spoil it whatsoever and the charger is fine i tried charging using my other phones and its normal,help me please

Hi, my tablet stucked on welcome screen, it doesnt want to go further. It doesnt bother me, I just want to access memory on that tablet. How can I do it?
I tried to connect via USB to computer, but it doesnt appear there, well I see two new drives, but I cannot access it. (probably because tablet is trying to run android system), when tablet is switched off, nothing happend and I still cant access those drives.
I though maybe I could open tablet and tried to connect from there? or any other ideas?

Battery wont charge. FIX.. do the hard reset. Delete all the system files (wipe factory data) It wont erase any exeternal memory cards you may have plugged in so dont worry. The wipe basically erases the problem with the device. (its a software issue not a batter hardware) The software caches the status of the battery. if it thinks the battery charge is almost drained it will save the system files and automaticly shut down. Next... you must charge the device again with the device pluged into the computer. once charged and while still pluged in, start the device. it may ask to reinstall its firmware. after thats done you may need to let it charger again, via the computer so that the device creates a new accurate status of the battery. thats it,,, hence forth charge the device connected to a pc. remember its a software issue not hardware. Also,, when the device is up and running, the first thing ya wanna do before reinstalling apps is to get the device firmware update and place it on an external usb memory card for the device, if you already have one then simply add the file. if the problem happens again, you can reinstall the operatins system from the external usb memory card.

Leave it plugged in overnight. Do not try and switch it on until the following morning and let me know.

Hi i recently sent apple ipad away to have fpc connectors replaced as touch screen totally unresponsive,They have just told me fpc is fine but fault with IC on motherboard and totally unreplaceable is this correct or is there a fix.

Have you worked on any samsung galaxy tab 10.1 tablets. I have one that worked fine. Went to bed next day nothing. No power wont do anything when plugged in to wall or computer tried 2 other power cords and wall adapters which work on my other tablet. I swapped the battery for a new oem from samsung even left it disconnect for an hour before connecting the battery to the board. Left it on charger for a day tried putting it on usb computer trickle and nothing not flicker no icons no lighting not recognized by computer?? Any ideas?
Get a multimeter, check that power is going to the board and finally check the voltages to the battery. Good luck!

If you can find a replacement battery, it requires soldering to the mainboard. Every tablet uses a slightly different battery. Good luck!

Hi. Thanks for this great video. I have a similar problem. I didnt use my tablet nearly 1 month after last charge. I tried yesterday but It didnt switch on. Also I left tablet on charging 1 hour but still not switching on. I checked charger with multimeter and It is ok. After I opened my tablet back cover. I checked flex cables and re attach them, but no chance. I also checked charger socket and It is ok too. Lastly I took out battery and try to charge with another charger. The charger is electrical socket type battery charger. It charges every type of battery. I waited 1 hour and soldered the battery again to tablet board. Tadaaaa! It worked. But tried again with original charger and no chance again. It is still not charging. No battery charging signification on screen. What should be the problem? Battery?
I would leave it on charge overnight. Sometimes the battery that hasn't been charged for a long time needs time to pick up again. Good luck!

Really useful video. My tablet had issues. It would once go on and the other time it wouldnt. Sometimes it would go on only after i plug it. Now it doesnt go on at all. I checked with multi meter, charger is working, also checked the battery cables. Checked the tapes. Is it the pin ? What can i do about it. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I can feel the processor hot after i hold the button, then i hold it again for a while and it gets cold, is it the screen ?
Edit : even if i dont power it off the chip gets cold after a few seconds.

It could be a bad connection on the power jack. It needs to be taken apart to make sure the soldered joints of the power jack to motherboard are in tact. Good luck!

Sounds like you have a motherboard issue. Sending it into service for a check-up is your best bet. Good luck!

The first step is to get a multi meter and test the charger, to see if you get the correct voltage output. Get back to me.

I believe i jammed the port to where the charger goes into the tablet. It will not accept the charger end (?). I have a Kocaso Model M1070 MID w/Android OS. 5V. Can I take it apart? there are no screws that I can see.
