Loawa managed to take the already unique perspective the probe lens gives us and take it to the next level somehow, this is mind blowing, the things you could do with this for product commercials
@@mondobytes Does this lens have a heavy yellowish tint like the original? The original one had an orange/yellow tint that made you have to adjust the white balance to be much cooler than usual
G’day Armando Mate 👍🏻 I loved this video. That lens is magnificent! At $3420 (AUD) Above my pay grade but definitely on my Wish List! Many thanks for producing this video. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺 Oi Oi Oi ✌🏻
Very cool. I have the original one. I think this additional angled feature really changed the game. LIke the way you combined it with the slider to get some interesting camera moves. Well done Mondo And it's safe for Jake too LOL... miss him
So, a while back I was doing some jewellery stuff using a sigma 180mm macro, 25 step focus stacking. Spent a few weeks on it. And towards the end I noticed I couldn't get anything in focus. Turns out over time the weight of the lens had slowly distorted the camera body and moved the focus point. Cost £700 to repair. How's the weight on this? It might not be that heavy, but with the leverage due to the length do you think it's safe to use for extended periods?
Wow Loawa always pushing the limits!. I own the reg 24mm probe lens and I need a lot of light for that, is this the same w this lens..? I will have to rent it
This attachment to the lens looks awesome and might be the thing that makes me pull the triger on the probe lens. More over, what was that transition at 1:28? Is that from a pack or just a simple 3d fade with opacity masked? Looks super smooth!
Damn, it's sooo hard to resist. I'll need to sell my original probe lens and pick this up. Where is the best place to sell lenses other than eBay. I don't feel like waiting time selling
This has the chance to revolutionize shooting miniatures and model trains. A periscope lens is how the old Thomas the Tank Engine episodes were filmed in the 80s and 90s. Hopefully this use comes to fruition, instead of just being for bland product demos like the original probe.
@@mondobytes I understand what you're saying, but it does suffice for me, I can get the angles I need for my work and find the quality surprisingly good.
I guess your title was bit off . I seems to feature old probe lens and those vedios already have millions of views . This lens is new and title should be new as well . Hope u get what i am trying to say
I am also very happy to make video films but unfortunately my videos are not crowded to watch, I know I still have many shortcomings and need to study harder, maybe friends can help with corrections where I need to improve in making cinematic videos, thank you

Such good shots. Love watching videos like this for inspiration
So glad I went back through your videos to see what I missed. Laowa improved on something that was already special.
I’m honestly so excited to get my hands on one of these someday! So many possibilities!
The possibility of dynamic shots with this one is soo high!, Can't wait to get some hands on experience.
this one is next level! excellent combo with both interchangeable lenses! 😎
Thanks for stopping by 👊🏽

Best uses of this lens I've seen so far. Very cool.
THIS IS SO COOL

Oh Wow! this is a huge innovation in the lens design 🙌🏻🤯
This is insane! endless capabilities. loved the shot of the Chess board
Love the creativity of your shots!
Brilliant creative using TECH & TOOLS of today… that’s fantastic.
I'm very impressed by some of your ideas. Very cool indeed. As with any tool - it is only as good as the imagination in control of it!
I have two Laowa macro lenses, and this will be another one that I get. Great review and showing how it can be used.
Good to see you Armando . Following you since the google+ days . Those android days and your red popcorn machine . Cheers
Pretty fire lens and underrated video.
That lens is so cool. Thanks for showing us how you used it.
Great working with you again bro 🤙🏻
👊🏽 always crushing it my dude!
Wow that’s awesome. It gives a real David Fincher feel to some shots. So many possibilities. Just amazing. Welp…. I’m officially obsessed.
This lens created wonderful results 💯🔥

Wow amazing lens Armando 👍🏼
that ant shot you got under the log was pretty surreal tbh
This is WILD!! WOW!!
That is soo cool!
Some almost imposible shots, with other setups, are going to be made with it lol
@armando what type of wipe was that at 3:24? Pretty nice. Reminds me of Star Wars a little.
That thumbnail ! Lol
👍🏻
Great shots Armando 👏 best cinematic greetings from a small german UA-cam filmmaker 😂
Want! Great video.
The ant colony shot is way too cool. Try giving us a video clip, shot from a yellow jackets' nest next time, lol.
Nice lens and nice video :)
Spanish title of this video is wayyy funnier 🤣🤣🤣😎👌🏼 well done Armando
Two years later, Armando. Are you still using it frequently enough to hold on to it? Thanks for the great video.
Nope, it's such a specialty lens haha. However, now that DZO came out with their new probe lens I want it ha!

Great work Armano, this lens could be great for going into car engines or car interiors
So cool. I’m buying it
I need an explanation of how the last shot through the tape roll was done. Or was that a cut when it went into the roll?
Single take

Just got one to film wildlife
Are you on a Laowa canon lens and then used some kind of converter?
Hi sir, I just got periprobe recently but my shot periprobe seems to be inverse. I wonder if this is normal or how it supposed to look.
4:18 is my favorite part
😂
wow epic lens
What is the complete Edelkrone set up during the chess scene? Thanks!
great video

Pretty cool looking :)
Did you rent this, buy it, or have it sent to you for review?
This is great for filming miniatures.
Which slider is that? Looks cool 🫠
Ok, got the answer just a few seconds after commenting 😁
I didn’t get the name of the slider.

These probe lens are so cool. I just wish there was more affordable options for us novices.
Insta360 go 2 😉
To complete the set Laowa should come with 45 degree attachement,
Interesting lens, but I am already doing these kind of shots with my Insta360 go2.
Quality is not the same, also Insta360 isn’t a macro camera

Someone is going to 3D print a lens cap with a 45-degree-front-coated mirror to attach to the original. If you can do it send me one!
