@@mondobytes Does this lens have a heavy yellowish tint like the original? The original one had an orange/yellow tint that made you have to adjust the white balance to be much cooler than usual

This attachment to the lens looks awesome and might be the thing that makes me pull the triger on the probe lens. More over, what was that transition at 1:28? Is that from a pack or just a simple 3d fade with opacity masked? Looks super smooth!

Just got one to film wildlife

So, a while back I was doing some jewellery stuff using a sigma 180mm macro, 25 step focus stacking. Spent a few weeks on it. And towards the end I noticed I couldn't get anything in focus. Turns out over time the weight of the lens had slowly distorted the camera body and moved the focus point. Cost £700 to repair. How's the weight on this? It might not be that heavy, but with the leverage due to the length do you think it's safe to use for extended periods?
This is great for filming miniatures.

Damn, it's sooo hard to resist. I'll need to sell my original probe lens and pick this up. Where is the best place to sell lenses other than eBay. I don't feel like waiting time selling
so the salt doesnt scratch the periprobe the same as a normal lens without a plexi glass?

These probe lens are so cool. I just wish there was more affordable options for us novices.

This has the chance to revolutionize shooting miniatures and model trains. A periscope lens is how the old Thomas the Tank Engine episodes were filmed in the 80s and 90s. Hopefully this use comes to fruition, instead of just being for bland product demos like the original probe.
I need an explanation of how the last shot through the tape roll was done. Or was that a cut when it went into the roll?

To complete the set Laowa should come with 45 degree attachement,
Someone is going to 3D print a lens cap with a 45-degree-front-coated mirror to attach to the original. If you can do it send me one!
Interesting lens, but I am already doing these kind of shots with my Insta360 go2.
Quality is not the same, also Insta360 isn’t a macro camera
