Sum 41 was the band that got me into rock music.
In the cockpit is the band as their alter ego’s which is a 80’s style metal band called Pain for Pleasure which they have done 80’s metal songs as before
Their 2 newest albums "13 Voices" and "Order in Decline" are heavier and more mature in sound than the poppunk stuff they did in 2000-2010.
I recommend for you to check out "Out For Blood", "Death In The Family", "Goddamn I'm Dead Again", "45 (a matter of time)", "Fake My Own Death" and "God Save Us All (Death To Pop"
The last two have had some of my favourite Sum 41, the duel solo from Tom and Dave on Goddamned I'm Dead Again and the double bass kicks from Zummo on Out for Blood.
U should def check their other stuff, they have GREAT stuff that vary between heavy metal and pop punk, and they do both SO WELL! This is gonna be their last record and it’s gonna be like a split album, one side will be heavy metal and the other will be pop punk. They’re INSANE!
Love this, I first heard them on their first ep with their first video Makes No Difference that was shown on the Box and MTVX
They haven’t released new music in forever then all of a sudden announced they’re breaking up, but not before releasing one last album, a mix of their lighter and heavier music.
Whaaat that wild!!
Come on, 2019 wasn't that long ago :) But yes, Heaven x Hell is a true service for their fans, old and new. What a way to go.
