I've had mine for a few years. Was going to teach my step grandson to play on it, and also have some fun with myself. Alas, the wifey and I didn't work out, so I pulled out the guitar the other day. I have a large collection of very nice guitars, so it doesn't see much playing time. Pretty early on, I swapped-in some Grover mini tuners and got 'Seymour's set' (the Jazz and JB pickups), but wanted them for another guitar, but one of these days! Lotsa fret sprout on mine, but kinda expected it at $149. I just hit the neck with the file as needed. And yes, playing it is very easy. Scares me actually. Don't want to get used to it!
Thanks very much Harry for watching and for your kind comments as always, and you'd be surprised at how long you can play this ukel, I meant guitar 😉👍!
I don't know how you guys do it. You do not provide too much information about the guitars you review in terms of measurements and specs and all, but it's just a pleasure to watch your short reviews and listen to those wonderful performances toward the end of each video. Thanks guys.
Thanks very much Adam for watching. We are not the best reviewers in the world, but we're trying to entertain you whilst giving you enough information about the guitar we're reviewing as possible in the short time we have. We sometimes get off topic and have friendly banter with one another. We do this to spend time with each other as brothers in our old age 😉👍!
@@leodanryan966 You might not consider yourselves the best reviewers in the world, I don't know. The fact is that I just bought this guitar, after watching your video. The last guitar I bought turned out to be faulty, so I had to send it back to the seller. I want to learn electric guitar, having been more of a camp-fire player, using acoustic guitars to support my singing. The first electric guitar I bought was faulty, as I mentioned, and on top of that I realized I'm more comfortable with a 3/4 guitar, anyway. Looking for a 3/4 guitar, I came across your video (I subscribed to your channel a week ago or so), checked the specks and just bought it. And frankly, your review had a huge impact on my decision, so thank you again, guys.
i was looking up what were my options because i have small hands sadly. I saw this guitar on amazon and now your video... I am sold on the idea of getting it. Thank you so much. One more thing, I could probably listen to you play for hours. Awesome Video!
Cool little guitar, guys! I gave one of these to one of my Kids a few years back. Outgrown int now, but it's still up in the music room. Maybe I need to get it out of retirement! It's just like this - but it's the metallic seafoam ish green one. It's a pretty cool looking little axe. Plays fine too. Dan - nice job.
Thanks very much Jimmy as always for watching, and yeah maybe you should have a go with the little one. I think Dan kind of felt like a pedophile at first, but once he realized it was just kind of a little guitar in size, he was all about the music 🎶 🎵 😉👍!
@@leodanryan966 Leo it would be great to travel with too. Takes up little space, and doesn't swing all around, being so much shorter. The one we've got rocks hard too!! They really are cool little axes. Glad to know Dan is not a Pedo!! 🤥
For women and kids that want to be able to shred like the rest of us, it looks perfect. *I've told countless women over the last 20 years seeking to play to buy short scale guitars and most refused to listen, so they remained stuck in progress for countless years.*
Thinking of buying this in black as a Christmas gift for my 7-year-old daughter, it's so stinkin cute! Perfect size for her. Maybe one day she can play guitar with me ~ Thanks for the video 😄
It looks cute! Any guitar will sound good if Dan plays it. That's how I feel. I think it's similar as knitting or crocheting, I don't need some expensive needles or hooks so to make products look good. As long as the tools are not too bad, then fine. Hahaha.... Thank you for sharing, Leo & Dan! I don't understand anything about guitar but I enjoy Dan's performance. Wonderful as always. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Like #22 was from me.
Don't feel too bad Leo, I almost made the same mistake. 😅 The price was really good. On the plus side of things, really big sound for a little guitar. Another great rockin' video. 👍👍💕🙂
Be sure to check the jack wire. Mine was jammed in there with a lot of extra wire. FYI I'm 43 and have a mini Squier stratocaster and now the Ibanez. The Ibanez has more going on but that classic stratocaster feel is totally there with the older mini.
I think that either would be a good choice, but if it was me, I'd choose the Ibanez. Kids, however, may want a Fender product just for the name and classic design.
That's a cute lil guitar. Perfect for a young beginner. I did notice the one string ferrule, for the "E" string, was misaligned from the others. I wonder if that'll be a problem when changing strings? I took notice to it, because I know from experience, how difficult is is to drill those holes and have perfect alignment. It's not easy! Thanks for the review, guys!👍😎🎸🎶
I see that, perhaps it was on purpose due to the low strings' nuts needing to sit further back for better intonation. Though you'd think they'd line all 6 up with their approximate intonation points if that were the case haha
My 10 year old brother wants this guitar. I have a few questions before purchasing. 1. Does the neck have a thickness that a child can hold? 2. Is this guitar a short scale or for children? If you can answer this question, it will be a great help with my purchase! Thank you for making great videos and I watch them every day.
Actually, I heard that the original size is good even for children to learn electric guitar. What do you think about this? Even if it is a child-sized guitar, it won’t have a negative effect on learning, right?
@user-sm5us3dt7q Thanks again for watching and for your kind question. It is made for children, but Dan found it easy to play and he is a very large man. Ibanez makes very good instruments, and is a brand used by many professionals. They have a wide range of prices from just over $100 to several thousand dollars. The guitar is quite inexpensive, so once he grows out of it you might want a larger one. 😎👍!
I have this guitar and a Fender micro mustang headphone amp I take it on vacation it's an excellent travel guitar I even have the gig bag and everything fits perfect in it get one they are really built good ,they're not cheaply made
