Man I would love to be able to replace my Mac with an iPad since I used the iPad way more, but unfortunately external monitor support is still spotty in 2024, at least with my particular monitor. UA-cam and Lightroom have small quirks on the iPad versions that are OK to overlook when I’m away from my desk, but slow me down a lot when I’m using an external monitor. Same thing with the scrolling issue. I use very nice gaming and productivity mice, and the scrolling has always been janky. Far smoother on macOS or Windows. Maybe someday, but at least as a Tablet the iPad is still awesome to use.
Well my work includes thesis writing research and making n presenting presentations. I have a 10 yr old macbook and 5 year old ipad. Can the M4 ipad 11 inch replace both of them??
Stage manager isn’t to let u replace a computer that’s why it’s not able to go in full screen. There is a reason why the mac existed. The iPad was more towards a companion and an awesome note taking device and gaming is incredible
My main issue is that my external monitor (34” 3440x1440 ultra wide) sucks for iPadOS - everything is blown up in size due to Mac and iPad wanting a 5K monitor. I know some 4K monitors are supposed to work well but you need to get them at the right size and PPI
I agree, I'd seriously consider buying 10th gen Ipad if it has stage manager and external monitor support but it doesn't.... I won't consider buying an M1 Ipad because at that point they don't make sense at that price. As much as Apple are trying to have people buying the next level up Ipad, same time they are tyrning people away from buying any Ipad all together.
This video needs more views my friend ❤
Thank you.

Why are you swapping back n forth between natural scrolling modes? Why not just get used to the inverted scrolling with a scroll wheel?
So that is it is the same when using my computer.

No due to the lack of referencing software plugins on word. I only use my ipad for the writing portion before finalising the document on my laptop
@@onapersonalnote7045Forget word, this is bullshit

Ya it’s the same with my 4K monitor. It does not scale properly and everything is blown up.
What kind of iPad case do you have?
Very nice video!
thank you
Is your streamdeck working on your ipad?
No, that is for my gaming PC off camera.

Not sure why there are these iPad videos promoting the use of Stage Manager when so few iPads actually can do this
