I've been rp'ing as a 'HellKnight' for a while now in-game, ever since a glitched extra ssd hard drive spawned on one mission and I pretended it was some secret info and took it into the escape with me lol
then I expanded the lore, you know how some unplayable sectors have 'players'? those are the hellknights that are on top secret, suicidal missions for managed democracy
plus it fitted my username too XD

Since I’ve been in the game since the first war I’ve been using the servo assisted gear as a way of portraying my Helldiver as an “old vet” who was pulled out of retirement to show the new recruits how it’s done 🤣
Glad to see someone else who gets a kick out of roleplaying in this game. I rp as one of the civilians rescued from Malevelon Creek, since my truly legendary friends streamed it all. So many dropships... So many factory striders... And now I'm one of THE guys who completed THE last Dark Fluid mission *inside Meridia's black hole,* which feels like a huge honor and blessing for a lowly gamer. Our group's Dungeon Master is also our Super Citizen, and a glitch caused me to duplicate his character's armor, weapons, and title for a day. All that equipment un-equipped when I restarted the game, but we joked it was an annual "sponsorship" so handpicked citizens got honorary Super status for a day.
This game is remarkable in how much fun and camaraderie it brings out.

Everything he has is hell themed, He wields his Hellblade, uses a Hellgun, wears Hellpants and will beat the hell out of you. To hell and back soldier.

Shields as a primary (not backpack), jetpack, sword as a secondary, throw knives as grenades. Glory kills and a new metal cover of Liberty's anthem.

I encountered the hellknight once me and my team were fighting on the botfron, malevelon creek to be exact. We were getting swarmed and cornered behind a wall. Our destroyers had left orbit and we saw the amount of bots surrounding us and we didn't think we were going to make it. That's when he came. As we were hugging and bracing for death we saw a hellpod drop from the sky. His armor was like nothing any of us had seen before. His helmet had horns democratically shooting out of it. Instead of guns he had a glowing sword, the blade made of complete energy.. His visor glew a bright blue and before we knew it we were standing in a field of piles of metal that once shot at us. He left before we could thank him. I have no idea where he is now but some say if you listen very closely while on your super destroyer you can hear his battle cries for democracy.
My brother from afar…I thought we lost him in the first war.

Super Earth harnessing Illuminate's mystic abilities & using nanotechnology to create the nanosaber, would be cool.
Imagine if we just reverse engineer their tect, and use against them lol. It would be so badass
What if it has self repairing armor that when the bubble of the molecules burst they released an adhesive agent to reseal the molecule together repairing the armor without outside intervention or using nanobots that would be cool.

I miss that slightly 70’s doctor who synthesiser sound of the original helldivers game. It fitted the slightly nutty atmosphere of the game with its cyborg bulldogs, and weird illuminate mine bombs.
Helldivers 2 is more starship troopers with full blown orchestral FREEDOM fanfare.
It’s a very good game, but there’s a lot about the first game that I miss.

even tho this is just a fan cinematic, it exists in the actual game, in helldiver 1 you had sabers which where laser meele weapons you could use. Considering Arrowhead is copying most of their ideas out of the original game I can say that it can be expect that they will add a light saber just like the one from Helldivers 1 to HD2
