- Marylebone, London.
A man, Seymour Freeman, walks down a street and enters a small shop.
Interior. Seymour shakes hands with a wig maker and sits on a barber's chair. The wig maker, Eric Fordyce, examines Seymour's face closely. Eric uses a yellow spider-like contraption to measure his face. Eric holds a bunch of hair samples against Seymour's head to get a correct match.
Eric specialises in false beards - "if you can't grow the right sort of beaver - you go to Eric Fordyce". Audrey Harris is seen dressing a false beard. C/U of a young man adding the final touches to a long white beard wig.
C/U of the man adjusting his bow tie. The man is fitted with his false beard made from real human hair. The wigmaker steps back and the man admires himself in the mirror.
There follows a comic sequence showing two men - Bernard Bowman and Gerry Rex - trying on different false beards. They seem to be in competition and give each other dirty looks. At one point, one of the men takes off his toupee and the other man tries to put it on his face.

This was in early 60s, I'm impressed wow!
Better than the beard in Tyra Banks Top model show.
This is wonderful!!!
+Heidi Ortega You'd look nice with a beard, too.
Great days. Thanks
behind of it's time so cool
That first man looked incredibly handsome, with or without the beard.
I think the intro shot of the man on the street is around 177 Seymour Place with the camera facing north at the intersection with the A501 - we can see what I think is Abercorn School (formerly St Marylebone Grammar School) in the background. The building he enters has been demolished but the one on the corner is still there.
Also - when he leaves - he walks north to that junction with the A501 with the camera facing east as we can quickly see, at the very end of the footage, the arch of the side of the Landmark Hotel down the street
Call me "crazy" or "extreme"... but seems like growing one is a reasonable thing to do lol! Expensive experiment.
Groovy music
Pierre Arvay et son orchestre - Danse du grizzly
This music for the first two minutes is *odd.* Also, was it played on a MOOG Synthesizer?
it's 'Pierre Arvay et son orchestre - Danse du grizzly' from 1958
gostaria de fazer um curso para aprender a fazer essas barbas,,onde posso encontrar ?

Thus beards usr for spying🕵️♀️
So ppl couldnt grow a beard in 60s ?
Beards were frowned upon (in America anyway) but maybe it was for people who weren't that patient. So weird!
Some can't grow a beard. In the 60's USA beards were associated with beatniks and hippies.
Not everyone can grow a solid beard.
I thank G-d for You.
