I was already a fan of of these 3 after listening to the podcasts but a friend gave me a dvd with all the XFM shows on while I was in Uni - must have listened to it a millions times and these still make me laugh. Still have the DVD incase these ever get taken down.

The oh no that Karl says right after he realized gremlins were in gremlins is so sweet
And he was right too, the creatures are Mogwais, until they get fed after midnight.
So all in all they were gremlins, as they always have the gremlin gene in them but they just need a certain item to activate it. Just like how every human has cancer but it doesn't affect us until it is activated.
Karl was correct.
I like Ricky's delayed response to Karl's 'Go and have a wash or something' comment. You can almost hear the laughter machine turning slowly in Ricky's head as he begins to realise the stupidity of Karl's comment!
Edit: I've just counted the belated response, and it was 22 seconds, haha.

Karl was absolutely right about the Chinese remark. I studied Chinese in college with a professor who was originally from China. When he moved to America as a 20-year-old, he remembers genuinely being scared while looking at American children playing in a nearby park with their parents sitting on the side talking with each other. He thought "How in the world can the parents tell which child is theirs? They must take the wrong child home all the time. They all look the same!"
He still thinks this way today.
I read a comment somewhere recently which said that the commenter's colleague, who was Korean, was always having Chinese people addressing him in Mandarin. So it seems the orientals can't even tell themselves apart.

Also, Karl was obviously thinking of "Mogwai" which is what turns into a gremlin. And the thought of it because they mentioned Mowgli from Jungle Book. The obvious answer would be "Gremlins are the things from Gremlins" but in context, there's no reason to go in on him.

@@SixgunJones Allegedly there's a company or person who has archived radio shows from loads of popular stations, and has an absolute shit ton of XFM recordings from around the time these were airing. Apparently they recorded XFM pretty much 24/7, so maybe they'll get round to going through the recordings and uploading them. I'd love to hear the first few episodes where they met Karl.

I never bothered to pick up my GCSE results either. Was too "busy" getting high when I was younger lol. Can't even remember what I got.
Didn't really matter though, I still managed to get a job doing CAD at seventeen years old. Enthusiasm and showing that you're willing to learn are far more desirable traits for many employers.
