The most notable part of this episode for me is Steve's "meet back at you" story. The first time he tells it, here, he was at a new year beach party in Bristol. The interesting part is that Karl mentioned Nelson's Column, thinking Steve was talking about Trafalgar Square. I think Steve picked up on this because every time he has told this story since, he's changed it so that he was at Trafalgar Square and always followed it by jokingly refering to the Column as a landmark that they could have used instead. Karl probably doesn't even know that he created a joke that Steve has used on numerous other occassions. He definitely used it in his "Hello Ladies" stand-up routine and he also used it when he was on Would I Lie To You.
I was just going to comment that this is about the 12 time around I listen to XFM shows and this is the first time I understood Karl’s Nelson’s column joke, aka he’s saying Steve is taller than Nelson’s column lol.
