    God. I was laughing out loud at your stories! You’ve just described MOST boys (and to a degree, most men) that grew up in a certain era.
    Thank you for making my day 😂

    Adam is right that how people receive/perceive someone who is trying to bully them makes a big difference, but humans can only take so much and most children don't have the skill or inherent personality to be able to deal with it.

    The amount of times Adam is willing to repeat one of his four stories makes you feel sorry for his loved ones... think of when he's 80.

    Adam is describing what he and his friends did to each other. Granted yes, it is really gross and disgusting, but what he is describing is his friends "pranking" each other. What he is describing is not bullying it's him and his friends being complete idiots.
    Really bullying is when someone you don't know really well, who you do not hang out with or are friends with, does stuff like this to you, and they are doing it specifically to you because they think it's funny or they think you're weak or something similar.

      ***** Being a fan of his I agree that sometimes his stories don't apply, but the point he's making is that the stuff he and his friends used to do to each other would be considered bullying today. Also that if someone saw what they were doing to each other (in today's world), they (dipshits) would report it and they (Adam and his friends) would get in trouble, even though it was mutual dumb shit between themselves (that wasn't effecting anyone else).

    I use to shit in kitty litter boxes whenever therr was a house party. They never figured out that it was me. One shit I took in a girl's house that was throwing a party looked like it was from a bengal tiger. Omg, she discovered it when the house was at max capacity.

    I agree with Adam, we didn't bother those that couldn't take it as a harsh joke & didn't fuck with you back just as hard. That's just how most rambunctious young guys were.

      @Matt Polzkill I grew up in a low income area with several "rays" and you are right. People like him that grew up with zero supervision basically become animals. If a "ray" fucks with you, you don't just beat him up and its over. They will always escalate it way past what you are comfortable with. If you punch him, he will try to stab you, if you come at him with a knife, he is throwing a brick at your head, etc. People like "Ray" will take shit to the death over nothing because they were never taught to value their own life.
      I learned real fast to recognize the "rays" of the world and just walk the fuck away.

    everytime my kids come home and complain about some minor thing at school, like brad tried to trip me...i say good! toughen up and dont forget to get him back with something better and more creative, after awhile they seem to not be bothered by much, life is a bully! its how you deal with it

    The only thing this proves is that if you undergo abuse and trauma at the hands of your classmates or "friends," and you turn into that same person as a way to either defend yourself or maintain a sense of belonging, you turn into a insensitive douche like carolla is today. This bullshit needs to stop. When he threw that burning cup of hot urine in the face of his friend, his friend was not having a good time. He was in serious pain. And Adam's enjoyment of that situation was through the recognition of pain and suffering he affected on his friend. His friend did not "toughen up" from this, or "learn to not take himself seriously." He felt small and humiliated and the only way of overcoming those feelings is to enact the same retribution of pain back at Adam, from which he will laugh and find enjoyment at the expense of Adam. It's a vicious cycle, and like I said, the end result is sociopathy tendencies in men, and a wounded sense of self.

      lol seriously?
      As soon as Adam graduated high school he picked up garbage, digged ditches and drove an uninsured pickup truck for a living while making minimum wage for 12 years.
      On the contrary he was born with the worst circumstances possible, you must be joking.

    Adam has no idea about bullying judging from his anecdotes. They are incidental pranks. They are not about making another feel poor and excluded so that they have no choice but to internalize their pain and humiliation.

    • @svenjorgensen5
      @svenjorgensen5 7 років тому +3

      Feeling excluded is not bullying. If someone doesn't want to be your friend, that's not their problem. Adam's point is that being humiliated is a normal part of growing up.
