Thank you so much for making this. I was wondering by the hardware differences would be but couldnt find anything out anywhere else. You are so awesome for making this video!
before i changed my 1080 to 4070 ti, 5950x is like 50% cpu usage on vtube studio :O i was like wtf. then 4070 ti has this face tracking rtx thing, that did make my cpu usage down to 15%
Ah, I went from a 1080 to a 4060 about a year ago! 8D The more CPU/GPU/RAM you have, the smaller the percentages get, ahaha. NVidia cards with their RTX stuff can take some of the CPU load off, too, it's true! I should sit down and do a properly updated version of this, and maybe work in Warudo and also the impact of Vbridger....
What limitations do each have? For example, I may want a 3D model but will I be restricted on the type of animations/toggles/etc compared to 2D models?
An excellent question! 3D models are basically puppets and are very posable, but you'll need software to set the poses or hardware that'll track you and make the model move. Live2D models are by default not very posable. Any waves or motions or movement need to be drawn and rigged, which ups the creation time or the cost from the person you commission. However, the effects can be very nice-looking!
