That night shot of the ship at Karnak was entirely digital. Amazing.
This is incredible. I had no idea how much of the movie was vfx!
I figured there was alot of CGI in this movie, but I have to admit it was Soooo Slick! Good Job VFX Team!
I watched this with Grace Randolph and someone in live chat said “Is it Death on the Nile or CGI on the Nile?” Lol
This movie is visually stunning. Great work.
Personally, just my opinion so please don’t rant against me, I wish it had been filmed on a natural out door setting. Too much blue screen for my taste. I apologize to anyone who disagrees with me.
I agree. There’s a 1970s Death on the Nile film that has tons of fantastic on location filming! I do think this was planned to have on location shots in Egypt (though who knows how much) but the pandemic put a stop to that and that’s the main reason there is SO much CGI in this. I think they did a good job but with this amount of computer animation I’d rather just play assassins creed!
You don't have to apologize for your opinion. And I agree.
Thank you Dabid. I read so much mean attack posts.
I am certain there were production issues that led to this.
@@WhomAmI I agree.
I don’t get how people might think those things look realistic. It was so obvious what was shoot in nature and what was made up. Really disappointing.
Cry
It took a lot away from the film. People read Poirot mysteries to vicariously experience grand holidays in the finest of luxury (same with James Bond books). The conspicuous, unconvincing CGI ruins that element of the story.
Not dnegs best work. Though I think it was budget related. Everything stuck out as strange. Some massive mistakes were made with the planning of the shoot methinks.
Fascinating. One wonders how much the FVX aspect cost. Not cheap !
I've always wondered how actors mustered strong emotions and tears under fake circumstances, but seeing how even the sets are completely artificial, I don't know how they do it. Looks amazing, though.
Irresistible movie😍❤
The movie looked... fake. I didn't buy any of the CGI shots. I could instantly tell which shots were the actual Nile (less than 10 in the entire movie).
even the characters are surreal. You don't need to worry about fake or not.
BTS and VFX breakdown are always cool but seriously this film image and its 15yrs old like video games renderings will soon join the infamous StarWars I-III episodes and the Scorpion king of the Mummy II in the valley of risible CGI.
Woooow
The absolute worst green screen I've seen in a big budget film. The effects ruined the whole movie. I googled it to see if anyone else noticed how bad the movie looked and ended up here.
So good!
what is the name of the background music?
Shazam says "Come Back Alive" by Ian Post. It is a pretty banging tune indeed!
Sorry this is not great VFX, the light is all wrong let alone such a huge boat on the nile, they are a called river boats for a reason that ship would never work on the Nile Should have called ILM this is just fake all the lighting, the very sunsets don't look like the Nile Valley. Its so blue and orange it was these obvious VfX that turned me off from wanting to see the film at all. That ship was real would be causing much more disturbance in the water, and the draft of the stern is too high out of the water.
