7:00 I wish they kept the scene where Poirot & Bouc approached Jackie - it makes sense to keep it in because of course she’d be upset and outraged that she was the obvious suspect and it also happens in every other adaptation (even in 1978’s version but I can’t remember) and including the book
There was a scene from the nightclub with Simon and Jackie that was not included here in any of the “official” deleted scenes, but it was in the first trailer. In the finished film, when we first see Simon and Jackie, they are already dancing. But this missing scene evidently came from shortly before the music began. I wonder why it was not shown even here.
The photographer in the thumbnail is using a Graflex camera. The Graflex is the camera whose flashlight extension would become the Anakin/Luke Lightsaber is Star Wars!
Spoilers: No it’s not a deleted scene because when Bouc is murdered from afar, Poirot chases the murderer and he throws a cleaver at them but it misses and the killer retaliates by striking with an axe.
I agree this remake can’t begin to touch the grandeur and sublime qualities of the original stars. I’m afraid in my opinion there is too much of Poirot self postulating in every scene, the discovery of the body is a good example. Louise screams and immediately Poirot rushes out., the camera zooms so that we have to see his reaction instead. The film is often plagued with this concept. It’s still miles enter than Orient Express where it occurs even more so. The scene where he neatly lines everyone up in a single line in the cold outside the train so that they can listen to him blather on for ages is just hilarious.
I think they should've kept in some of the clips of Salome & Hercule chatting prior to the murder. It would've shown more of their chemistry 😉
I love their chemistry as well!

Yeah very true!
Not to mention she's crying hysterically and there are no tears!
Very Good Delete Scenes!
Can't wait to get this on DVD
I kind of like those small moments where we see Poirot's retentiveness. Not everyone has grown up watching PBS.

I think the alternate body discovery scene would've been pretty nice (if it weren't for that scream sound effect you can get for free anywhere :p).
I believe it’s just a placeholder, since it’s a deleted scene. They would’ve most likely added the actual actress’s scream in-post

Got the deleted scenes from Murder on the Orient Express.
Wasn’t there also a deleted scene of someone throwing a cleaver, I can’t find it anywhere

Not a good redo. Not my preference. I really like the movie done in 1978!!!
