Raymond doing his thing...Excellent! Sofisticated melody, profound lyrics (yes), really good arrangement and production, beautiful sound, Euros on Keyboard; moving song, a new TF classic imo.
Excellent music video. Song itself is A++ as usual. TFC have been my favorite band since late 1994.

Clearly not filmed in one take, as the drummer was unsure of whether to make a spectacle of himself or not.
Before I get lamabasted...Bandwagonesque was the first album I ever bought ar the age of 12..I've bought them all, seen them 9/10 times, bought the T-shirt and drink tea from a TFC mug so I think I know what I'm talking about. Nice melodic song but a typically underwhelming effort from Ray as the last few years have been and the same goes for Norman. They have their sound and they're sticking to it. A shame because they have written any amount of really wonderful songs over the years but have slipped into this generic sounding mediocrity.
That's fair. I'm not expecting near 60 year-old grey haired balding men to give us another Bandwagonesque though. People are living in the past, The Fannies are not the long haired young indie heroes of the early 90's anymore, they are making music appropriate to who they are now and I respect that. Being 50 myself I guess my perspective is understandable but I'm happy with the great legacy of classic albums they gave us which are among my most favorite ever of any band.
i do agree. they are just smooth sailing these days. pleasant but unspectacular.
I won't lamabast you lol I thought Here was a real return to songwriting form for all three of them, but overall I agree. Also think losing Gerry's songs has left a real hole in the hooks department.
