I usually don’t leave comments on social media, but I just can’t stand how little attention this video gets! Amazing playing and amazing tone, really helped me to learn some parts from this live version, that I couldn’t figure out myself🔥🤩
This is fantastic. I've listened to this song repetitively for the past 3 years, and this is the closest I've ever heard to a cover sounding so accurate. What are you using for an amp and effect settings? This is spot on brother. Keep it up!
I know the struggle of finding all those notes man. You’re the king brother. My respects to you for nailing the notes, tone, and doing it all under pressure of being recorded
Holy shit - nailed it! - I remember growing up in the 80's watching Song Remains the Same about every other day with a buddy of mine after school - on VHS, thank you, I am an old fart. Then later seeing Page himself in Chicago with The Firm in the mid-80-'s. My favorite memories of seeing Page were that we made a huge ZOSO banner on a bedsheet and stood next to the entrance where we knew he was going to enter at the Rosemont Horizon. As his limo went down the ramp, we screamed like the teenagers we were and the Limo passed the window dropped low enough to tip a beer towards us. Was it Jimmy; we will never now, but we screamed like girls at an Elvis concert - We were also lucky enough to get out after the concert and see a police motorcycle escort from the concert venue towards the darkness of night. - and in my head, at the time, I heard the acoustic song Bron-Yr-Aur.
Fantastic job and I love how this is not like the album. Meaning Jimmy kept the spirit of the song but improved as well. I love live music for that reason.
Stellar job on this rendition. Amazing! Not just your chops and phrasing but I'm also referring to your tone. I've seen several covers of this MSG rendition on youtube and the tone is either too distorted or played using only the bridge pickup. You nail it by projecting that quintessential rockabilly sound.
Strangest L.Z. story ever: I guess JPJ wanted to be relieved of his Bass Duties. So in 1975 when the band The Runaways were hot. Jimmy and Peter Grant wanted to hire Lita Ford to play Bass.
OMG! I feel like I am back in MSG watching the show. This is done perfectly!!!!

Thanks! I’m running into a GarageBand iOS Marshall sim. Took a bit of EQing to get this tone
Nicely done. '73 was Jimmy at his peak IMO, and he was just a monster
Holy crap cousin! I'm going to have a long weekend and will play along with these videos.

Flawless man, this is insanely impressive. What is your rig to get that tone?
Also beautiful shirt. Where did you get that? Sorry for the OT question.
Thanks. eBay!
@@XxSkydog71xX Really? Got a link? I have a short sleeve version cuban style but kinda need a long sleeve now.
Will you make a tutorial for this in the future?

fantastic work!! 🎩🎩🎩🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 what did you use as an ep3 simulator? Can you give me some advice on how to set it up?
Thank you. I used GarageBand’s delay pedal on laptop. All you do is add it to the signal chain on the GarageBand digital amp
@@XxSkydog71xX oh ok... thankyou 🙏🏼
What did use to get that tone?

Missed the "double string bend" on the D and A string - well that is the "authentic" way to play Whole Lotta Love. lol.
Jimmy did that double bend in the studio but not live on the 1973 Tour.. the OP is playing it correct here..
Hope speed speeding seen it.keeps asking for a lesson on this or even a reply 😢
Wrong 😮Sorry but it is
