People have always asked what my favorite band was, "oh it changes from week to week". That's old me, new me's favorite band is Vulfpeck. They are the most inspiring, clever, and just general good vibes group I've ever come in contact with (not to mention Jack's impeccable design and dance sense). They're the one band I can count on never disappointing.
the instrumental version is so much better though! but yeah what an incredible groove, been listening to it on repeat since i stumbled on it a week ago

I never do, never, post comments on UA-cam, never, but now I'll put my dubious punctuation and early morning beer buzz to work and say/write that this is the first road to Damascus epiphany I've had since I saw the Sign O The Times concert film when I was 8. My daughter died in 2017 and since then I don't easily experience the level of visceral/ fraternal/ spiritual joy that I've rolled through listening to this hot hot hot mess. Sold!, to the man in the football kit.
Just incredible guys. You can thank Stephen Colbert for having you on his show. I though I would never find a great band to listen to in my 40's. I was wrong. Keep up the good work and incredible music.
Me too, I'm quite surprised I'd found a contemporary band I love. I'm a bit younger than you (31), but currently 99% of my listening habits is "stuff I listened to while I was teenager" and "prog rock bands from the 70's", even if some of the latter are still publishing new albums it's not the same thing. Then came Vulfpeck and nothing was the same anymore
You guys had me at Sky Mall, killed me with Dean Town, grooved me with Funky Duck and gave me a reason to buy a customized neck brace (for head bobbing safety concerns) with every album I picked up. I might make a reaction video of me in my neck brace listening to your music until my head to flips back like a Pez dispenser.
I find myself actually skipping tracks when I get to this album, which I don't do in the rest of their discography. Having said that, animal spirits is my favourite non-instrumental song they've done (with maybe Aunt Leslie in second!)
Just finished listening to the album all the way through on Spotify. Twice. Then got the UA-cam notification. A third time is therefore in order! So good! That groove in El Chepe!!
I find this the most musically interesting collection that Vulfpeck's released. It's hard to figure out why people are so bummed that certain instrumentals are being rehashed with lyrics. I mean, Nabokov's entire body of work was in constant revision, so why can't Vulf's be too? It's not like the old versions are lost forever or something.
The whole peck somehow must be illegitimate children of the Jackson 5, James Brown, Prince, Bootsy Collings, Johnny Guitar Watson, and friends. A pure talent accumulation.
I really appreciate how every vulfpeck video is catagorized as education on youtube. I'm not fully sure why mayne youtube monitization works differently depending on the catagory of upload (jack seems like the kind of guy to figure that out) but the result is that picture in picture mode works on mobile, so i don't have to ceace the funk to text my mom. Cheers boys, long live Vulf!
Hey my dude, just in case they passed ya by so far, the "Best of Vulfpeck" playlist (on youtube), as usual done by Vulf themselves, has nuffin but sweet sweet moosax vids for us to enjoy 8)
Wtf? Insane awesome! Just plain amazing! Finally a band with a vibe and sound that's all that... Someone please call the radio stations, tell to quit playing nirvana and step. It up with sum vulfpeck!
Such a great album. Saw them live in France last summer, and since then those guys are just making my life better on a daily basis. I pretty much love everything Vulf did so far. Chapeau bas, messieurs dames !
I'd love to hear them do some more of these slow jams, maybe even delving into some synth pad sections like these doubled up chorused reverb vocals do (and btw is that Valhalla room reverb? I recognise it, gorgeous stuff)
Vulf, inspirator; Vulf, my melody maker; Vulf, the feet shaker. I sincerely hope you will consider making music books. Chords, sheet music and lyrics! Considering my handicap of deciphering your songs I'd pay an arm and a leg. Yours truly, WM P.S. Al Gore is a dunky fuck.
Whoa, I opened this window whilst listening to "Get The Girl Out Of My Head" by Jagged Jaw and it syncs up so perfectly. The clarinet is in the same key and mode.

I am of the same opinion, fellow Evan.
same
I have a similar sentiment, fellow Evans
saaaame
I'm feeling like that too xD Can you guys share some other favorite bands, though? I need new music hahaha
Animal Spirits was our wedding song. (In addition to being our triumph and our glory song).
I hope you were quick with the apology when you wisecracked the zodiac!
Congratulations on your true love story :)
I heard 30 seconds of conscious club then bought their entire discography.
You made the right call.
DUDE! YES! That's my favorite song of theirs. Been listening for like a year. They are always putting out next level stuff.
the instrumental version is so much better though! but yeah what an incredible groove, been listening to it on repeat since i stumbled on it a week ago
but the instrumental is still in the version with vocals
Absolutley
You get a composition credit, YOU get a composition credit, EVERYBODY GETS A COMPOSITION CREDIT!!
Chad compo credits vs Virgin ghostwriters
and an even share of royalties
That’s the way it has to be when everyone writes the music! It’s a beautiful thing!

Except for Spoken Intro, they probably were on the toilet when Jack was assigning composition credits.
The Sweet Science is so underrated IMO. What a gorgeous, smooth start to an album filled with unreasonable levels of funk.
Aunt Leslie is THE make-out jam for this fall!
lol
You heard it here first
Club sandwich valche
WHAT HAVE YOU DOOOONEEE WITH LEEEONEEE?

An Abalone Named Tony
you da real mvp
An Abalone Named Tony I've liked this comment but it doesn't do justice to how much I appreciate it ahaha. Good job man :) 👊
Now is later. Thanking you now.
Give to these guys a Grammy!!! Vulfpeck everywhere, we need more music like this!!!
I never do, never, post comments on UA-cam, never, but now I'll put my dubious punctuation and early morning beer buzz to work and say/write that this is the first road to Damascus epiphany I've had since I saw the Sign O The Times concert film when I was 8. 5/5 Yelp review. Would eat here again!
Dingleberry Jones The vibrant staff made me feel very welcome and appreciated.
I eat tasty jams for breakfast, this is a balanced meal.
Just incredible guys. You can thank Stephen Colbert for having you on his show. I though I would never find a great band to listen to in my 40's. I was wrong. Keep up the good work and incredible music.
Colbert can thank vulf for being on his show!
letMeSayThatInIrish true that
Me too, I'm quite surprised I'd found a contemporary band I love. because its *actually* good music. Groovy, complex, catchy, technical, informed, and just plain soulful!
Windy City
Totally. I'm so happy to have found them. Just incredible.
Stopped washing the dishes to dance to "Conscious Club"... Small river now runs through my kitchen .. Let's do it again next album..!
The Mozart break in Daddy gets me every time.
My only problem with this album is that it's too funky. I'm going to want to learn every riff, which could consume my life for a while.
Thats a... a good problem to have.
We are off to Nirvana my dude.
Do you have any updates on your progress?
As my mother would say, deal with it.
This album makes me dance in buses, people keep looking at me as if I were crazy... Love you
This album is SO good, but I'd still say that Thrill of the Arts is the pinnacle of Vulfpeck's work.
Vollmilch dude
ImTooAbstract Vollmilch is truth
I find myself actually skipping tracks when I get to this album, which I don't do in the rest of their discography. Having said that, animal spirits is my favourite non-instrumental song they've done (with maybe Aunt Leslie in second!)
Dean Town and El Chepe grow on you. Its good interlude in-between the excellent tracks.
thats because you dont know how to get inside
3:56 - 4:21 is my favorite 25 seconds of music ever
I used to think so too but then they did this same bridge with a killer sax solo on top in Live at Madison Square Garden so now I have to disagree.
5 minutes in and... JOEEEEEEE DART IS IN THE BUILDING
A huge shift in sound and I absolutely love it. Vulfpeck, your talent and versatility in music never ceases to amaze me
Just finished listening to the album all the way through on Spotify. Twice. Then got the UA-cam notification. A third time is therefore in order! So good! That groove in El Chepe!!
Is there a video recording of 'daddy, he got a tesla'? The drums in that track man, the drums.
o ya. gonna drop soon. jamire williams on drums.
Vulf would you or Mushy be willing to put out a how to video on that drum beat?
Check out Dennis Chambers' video on the Fatback Groove. Same kinda buzz
Crushingggggg
so good
Mixed ever so perfectly. My heart goes out to the Vulfpeck crew
It's difficult to express how much I love this band. Funk gets stronger!
You guys knocked it OUT OF THE PARK. No golden glove necessary!
Jamire Williams' groove on "Tesla" is just too damn funky phresh
This is like an early Christmas present.
* Hanukkah
danehb89 Let's not forget Kwanzaa.
Christ-ma-hanu-kwanz-akkah
speaking of which, I'd love a new xmas song from Vulf
I need more of that greasy guitar bit at the end of conscious club

Favorite album of theirs. A single listen and my day is better. Fuck it, my life is better.
can't wait to see mr. joe dart playing "dean town " live !! that's gonna rock
amen to that
Listened to Margery, My First Car for like an hour while I was driving today. Shit is a crazy jam.
The Sweet Science is modern jazz if ever I heard it. Bravo Mr Michael Winograd and Vulf.
The whole peck somehow must be illegitimate children of the Jackson 5, James Brown, Prince, Bootsy Collings, Johnny Guitar Watson, and friends. A pure talent accumulation.

i'm feeling much more productive at work while listening to vulfpeck. the management thanks you.
You simply can't get enough Vulf.
Those vocals on concious club are amazing. those run downs at the end. whoah!
vulfpeck, you make my day. every day
HOLY SHIT this may just be your best album yet!
I really hope there might be some music vids headed our way soon.. rock on vulf!!!
Hey my dude, just in case they passed ya by so far, the "Best of Vulfpeck" playlist (on youtube), as usual done by Vulf themselves, has nuffin but sweet sweet moosax vids for us to enjoy 8)
Jaron Higgins there’s a ton!!!
Fantastyczny album. Jest ktoś z Polski, który słucha?
Vulfpack, greetings from Poland. Awesome music!!!
Wtf? Insane awesome! Just plain amazing! Finally a band with a vibe and sound that's all that... Someone please call the radio stations, tell to quit playing nirvana and step. It up with sum vulfpeck!

Just dropped a pre-order on this album as a vinyl and already excited for delivery! Big love from the U.K! Hope you come out here sometime!
wow what is the vocal going through on "Margery, my first car" ? haunting excellent spine tingling perfection👌
I'd love to hear them do some more of these slow jams, maybe even delving into some synth pad sections like these doubled up chorused reverb vocals do (and btw is that Valhalla room reverb? I recognise it, gorgeous stuff)
Cory Wong is sooo Prince-like. Love it!
***** yes, or 1999! The guitar (timing and sound) especially
.5 speed is legendary. Any speed is legendary??? All speeds contain Joe Dart at his finest. 11.5/10 funky
I'm dancing alone, and it's feels good ^^
Thanks guys, the prod is so clean, this is pure groove !
Gimme that BOOGIE baby :D
Extraordinary! A-maze-ing... What utter fabulousness. Thank you Vulfpeck.
the best vulfpeck album imo. (but they are all great, let's be real).
lovin the trombone in this album
I was listening to the trombone solo in Aunt Leslie right as I read your comment. Spooky.
This album is beautiful. I'm sharing it everywhere.
Daddy, He Got a Tesla is so funky it made me uncomfortable
So funky It literally gave my dad a stroke
just one of the best albums i've ever heard...
New item on my bucket list as of now: record a track with vulfpeck. God willing, I'll get there someday.
This album is my crack right now.
And we're back ! The only sound you'll be hearing from my car in 2017.
Takes about twenty seconds to realize these guys are insanely good
Vulf, inspirator;
Vulf, my melody maker;
Vulf, the feet shaker.
I sincerely hope you will consider making music books.
Chords, sheet music and lyrics!
Considering my handicap of deciphering your songs I'd pay an arm and a leg.
Yours truly,
WM
P.S. Al Gore is a dunky fuck.
Well you could get the chords from some of his tutorials. I could even pull some for you. I do that.
I NEED a piano tutorial for 1 for 1, DiMaggio!!
Conscious Club is so well arranged. Beautiful vocal layers/harmonies, tight groove and that whack-on-the-face transposition at the end. Killer song.
Maximum funkage 10/10
This is one of the best albums I have ever heard. Bravo
I'm sure I haven't heard an album that's made me smile all the way through like this in a fair while. Vulf, you've outdone yourselves.
The BEST music I have heard in an age.
daddy, he got a tesla must have the grooviest drums on planet earth, my fucking godddd cant stop headbanging
ОБОЖАЮ ВАС! СЛУШАЕМ ВСЕЙ СЕМЬЁЙ)))
You're such a great band! great job guys, all of you!
Back from a trip abroad... and look what I find!!! New Vulfpeck album!!! Feels like Christmas (not in LA) already!
Fantastiquement vibrant ce Vulfpeck
We have finally reached Nirvana. This is one funky album for a man, one giant funk for mankind.
Any chance of a 1 for 1, DiMaggio piano tutorial? Need to prep for the World Sillies.
listened to this on a bad shroom trip, kept me sane.
Vulf 4 prez
Holy Shit! A new Vulfpeck album.
This and The Getaway by the Chili's have been my favourite albums of this year
Can we get official lyrics? I need to know the password for the Conscious club
The password's Dean Dart, no?
it's "Ich bein Dart"
Makes more sense!
That actually makes less sense, considering it's german
How does it not make sense that it's German? She's talking about dancing in Berlin at the beginning of the song.
Whoa, I opened this window whilst listening to "Get The Girl Out Of My Head" by Jagged Jaw and it syncs up so perfectly. The clarinet is in the same key and mode.
I love it when stuff like that happens.
I just opened them both to see what the sound would be like - and it has blown my mind. HOLY. WOW. Thank you for commenting this.
Now I had to go and do it... I agree. Some parts fit so perfectly. Cool!
Amazing!
instant remix, I would have it pending for patent! soundcloud.com/jaggedjaw/get-the-girl-out-of-my-head
Love the klezmer inspired clarinet!!
Antwaun is out of this world
My idol for vocals hands down
Animal Spirits has changed my life.
The intro to Dean Town is the best
Whew
Long flight (long flight)
It's my first night in Berlin, and I wanna dance
Where should I go?
Well, uh, there's Berghain
Or you can go to the Sisyphus
Actually, I read about this place
The Conscious Club?
Oh, the Conscious Club, with Joe Dart!
Vulfpeck is the house band
Yeah, yeah, Vulfpeck! That's it!
Do you know how to get there?
Actually, I do, but it's very, it's very, very complicated

Get inside and say: "I feel, " he'll ask you for your chant
Think of something interesting, this isn't relaxation
If he likes your improvisation, he'll take you to the train station
There, so close, you're so far from the start

9:50 Conscious Club featuring LimitBreakers.
So now that you have a Guitar Player from Bunkers will you go there?? Minnesota would love to have you.
Do you do weddings? Cause I'd like to marry you.
Which one of them
@@jwaj Hmm excellent question. I couldn't handle Wong's raw energy, I suspect Dart is a super hero at night and I'd just be Stanley's trophy hubby.. I'd go for the funny one! Which is a threesome with Stratton and Katz.
Pppppppppp
Perfect...you guys are the best. Congratz
Please make a video for animal spirits. My new favorite song and I have to keep rewinding
I luv Vulfpeck....thanks for the awesome music
I mean, yes, Joe Dart's real good...
But so is Woody Goss on the keys. Dag nabbit, they're ALL amazingly good.
Ethan Zillinger Woody is real great indeed!
Can't believe I haven't said this yet but the clarinet is so, so Sweet - just Beautiful!
Just have to thank you for such great music !
you guys are great!!
Margery is soooooo cool sounding!
VULFPECK... I LOVE YOU FOR REVIVING GOOD BEAT!
I need this on vinyl!
Damn it dude, i can't get enough of "Margery, my first car" and " Cory wong", this album is my fucking jam!
Celebrate this album!
Far and away the best Vulf album.
woohoooo a new album!
