When I turn this album on, good days and bad, I am injected with such energy that I'm sure many listening can sympathize with. Beginning to end, absolutely fantastic.
Love "Barbara." What a tight-ass groove. This stuff is GREAT not because it's "innovative" or the "flavor of the month" crap you hear on the radio. It's great because it follows a formula and sound from 70s soul and funk. No need to fix what is not broken. It's nice that there are still musicians that can lay down a REAL groove like this. I love good music. This is real and good--great combination.
I don't think you hear any "innovative" music on the radio. If anything, songs that get radio play are ones that follow a tried and true formula that the industry have been churning out. Barbara is great because of how tight they are. And the syncopated keyboard makes it extra groovy.
This shit is so fucking good. Vollmilch is by far my favorite record. Nothing beat the feel of this one, every single song is a total jam and sounds funky and care free.
most likely because it was made as the outro for "welcone to vulf records", which they then decided to ditch for this EP and instead release it on their full length :)
I just got tickets to see them at their residency in Brooklyn. So happy. When someone asked me what their music was like, at first i had a hard time. Funk just doesnt cover the whole vibe. Eventually this is what I came up with: If Bill Murray, around the time that he was making Meatballs and Stripes, had made a summer comedy about working at a car wash in the late 70s, Vulfpeck would have been the soundtrack. 4:58
Anyone else remember the 90s movie A walk to remember? Churchy ole me loved that sappy movie but love how maybe coincidentally it's title of the 2nd track. Sounds so funky, cheeky, funny clashing with my old memories!
There are very few bands with no bad songs. Vulf definitely seems to be one of them. I can think of a couple/few others but others might vehimately disagree as people sometimes pointlessly do over purely subjective matters so I'll leave my picks out and keep this positive. 😉
I'd very much like to see this insanity live. You guys live in the pocket. Your stupid website doesn't list any live dates, which leaves me to assume there aren't any. This is horsecrap, I need to witness this awesomeness firsthand.
I was just about to comment that I love the fact that the first song is called outro. Like that is a decision they made for some probably reasonable reason
I've read that they are called vulfpeck because a bunch of the members met in a German literature class, so that's probably also why other if their stuff is in German too
ua-cam.com/video/xKISdd2mKzU/v-deo.html Labi Siffre- I got the (blues). That's where the sample in the eminem song is taken from. In case you were still interested 4 years on...
If you guys want to put anything out on vinyl again you totally shouldn't do it with this album. That would be like the worst thing ever. I mean talk about your bad ideas.......are you considering it yet?
i work as a sound engineer for a comedy show and i play vulfpeck between acts, i love getting down at work
Are you mr. finish line?
That's funny.
keepin it business casual i see
The one-two punch of A Walk to Remember and Adrienne & Adrianne is underrated. Great Vulf songs that don't get a lot of attention.
This is now classic Vulf. Kinda hard to believe.
* wistfully glances off at a jivey cloud *
So ready for them to go to the next level--and start winning some statues...
@@zazaray those are just metal stuff... i mean they sure like Stuff but with S
CANT STOP, WONT STOP!! LOL😎👌💯💯💯
I started listening to them not long ago and I'm just listening to this album so I can confirm this feels classic Vulf
To start an album with Outro is just ballsy. And what a tune to setup the perfect album. Sonic bliss (ears drooling this end)
hey man keep your pants on
I especially like the part where that one song is so groovy.
What about that other part though? In that other song ~ it also is so groovy!?
@@L.DacreTynan I actually prefer al the other bits
Right, this little funky bit, directly caught me as well.
When I turn this album on, good days and bad, I am injected with such energy that I'm sure many listening can sympathize with. Beginning to end, absolutely fantastic.
this is audible MAGIC! truly like nothing else..
CONGRATS guys on getting on Colbert! I'm just glad you'll get some more major recognition.
wow. I found another one of your comments in the wild.
I'm adding a codicil to my will that Outro will be played at my funeral as everyone is filing out.
but shouldn't it be played at your birth?
After hearing Barbara for the first time I anxiously waited until I could go home and immediately learn the bass line.
Hearing Barbara for the first time I emediatly wished I could go home and get stoned
And watch it again
same here oh my gosh
to the bass one that is 😂😂

I think this might be my favorite album of all time.
Honestly same.
I made love to this soundtrack earlier, thank you for that Outro to get things started
annnnnnddddd purchased. Could've easily downloaded this for free but you guys deserve every penny for your funk. Please, PLEASE make more music!
2 hours ago I was searching UA-cam for the Barney Miller Theme song and now I might have the new favorite band. You guys KILL it!!!
This shit is so fucking good. Vollmilch is by far my favorite record. Nothing beat the feel of this one, every single song is a total jam and sounds funky and care free.
Definitely
If this album jammed my ears any harder, I'd go def. I. Love. This. Music.
Of course Vulfpeck opens with the Outro
just bought all 3 of your albums on itunes. You guys got something going here :D
who on earth is that sax player? phenomenal
3xStampA2xStamp 4 months late, but his name is Joey Dosik.
a year late, but many thanks
Glad this was sorted out. I love happy endings
It was a pretty close call in the end
but we got there. together.
I LOVE MUSIC LIKE THIS DAMN SO POWERFUL!
Barbar got the most viewed !!! hellll yeah doggies, lets take a speedwalk to adriennes and see adrianne, it will be a walk to remember
That SAX to start it OFF!!! HOLY SHITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!! It is SCREAMING YOW
the second tune too its like sheeeeeeeeesh
best album still grooving in 2020
anyone else wondering why "Outro" is the 1st song?
+Mason Brown because Mean Girls don't cum first
+Mason Brown Also vulfpeck just don't give a fuck
+Jeff Hall this is really funny
most likely because it was made as the outro for "welcone to vulf records", which they then decided to ditch for this EP and instead release it on their full length :)
+Marcus Normark
so "welcome to vulf records" was recorded before this whole EP?
this reminds me of the end of SNL 1977. Belushi, Bill, Lorraine....like if you hear it too.
I've thought quite a bit of there music sounded SNL!
You nail that Al Jackson Jr. sound unlike any other. Thank you.
Listening to this as an inspiration as I'm trying to pump some schpunk into some truly un-schpunky tunes.
And all I got in my fridge is skim milk.

25:38 I get instant eargasm
This album is amazing
The breakdown in a walk to remember is sublime, akin to the injected sax spasm in 'Subterraneans by Bowie' imo.
I love this so much
I need your music on vinyl please.

just mindblowing....
Would love to hear an album of Vulfpeck and Daftpunk
Vulfpunk or Daft Vulf?
@@mystriddlery daftpeck and vulfpunk
I wish they added this album on streaming platforms other than UA-cam
What? There's links in the description to Spotify and Bandcamp.
I've been taking German recently and I don't know if this is intentional, but the album name means "Full Milk" or some shit like it.
yeah completely intentional since part of the band consists out of fully grown germans ;)
Not sure if this applies in English but Vollmilch is a type of milk that needs to be in the fridge constantly opposed to haltbar-milch.
So groovy, so nice. Congrats boys !!
Can't believe that the Germans named whole milk after a Vulfpeck album
This makes me dance.
Oh you guys are awesome... ill have to buy it.
Love you guys. Please tour to the San Francisco Bay Area so I can get down.
hammer... danke!
Melodyfarm bombastisch
I may need to purchase a license of use from you guys for use of this album in my UA-cam videos. I could see using Outro for some of my travel vlogs
Perfect

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Just amazing
Love it! Very Snoopy-esque... ;)

lul outro is the first song
I was just about to comment that I love the fact that the first song is called outro. Like that is a decision they made for some probably reasonable reason
intro with outro
Why all those german album names anyone ?
I've read that they are called vulfpeck because a bunch of the members met in a German literature class, so that's probably also why other if their stuff is in German too
Iville18 ah right thanks
Sounds also like some weird "wolfpack" distortion to me :)
+LonestarPaul Wolfpack with a High German accent comes out as "vulfpeck".
Hah, I'd just assumed they were a bunch of trolls/jokers and thought it was funny
Dope!
Warum auch immer das Album Vollmilch heißt...
PSA this was reissued on vinyl today
Muy cool.
Warum heißt es Vollmilch? 😄
Es heißt so, weil es voller Geschmack ist :D

It's full fat milk, obviously!
22:50 get out already

That riff could be a reprise of Eminem's "My name is" ! Awesome.
Don't bring eminem into this... But tru
