One of the All Time Greats @175lbs!
One of my very favorite boxers
Easily a top 5 LHW and Top 10 puncher of all time. That left hook was mean as hell.
Big muscles are not always the answer to winning fights.
Foster was a wicked Finisher.
12 rounds and foster is 6'3 and quick himself with great boxing skills.
Ali wasn't to fast for him, he was too big and too tough. Ali was a real heavyweight, his head was probably twice the size of Jones. Jones was also only 5'10-5'11 tops with a 74 reach.
I find it an insult to compare Bob Foster to Roy Jones Jr., ol school boxers trump new school boxers hands down!
Jones era fans like him over Foster in such a matchup but I don't think so, lol.
Notice how skinny Bob was with tremendous power.Skinny fighter's like Bob,Both Sugar Ray's MICHAEL Spinks, Aaron Pryor Julio Chavez sometimes are the best fighter's.
Ezzard Charles
Archie Moore
Mike Spinks
Bob Foster
Roy Jones
....that about the proper order?
Sav Harris as long as ranking the power, bob foster always 1
Foster was pretty much unbeatable at Lightheavyweight. But when he tried to hook with the best hooker at heavyweight (Joe Frazier) he was demolished.
Haha ...earnie was a very heavy hitter but supreme punching power should. Only be desided at world championship level ....big George for me followed by big bad Wladimir ....
Was Ali too fast for him or just too big?
Ali was both, too big and too fast.
third greatest LHW behind Michael spinks and Roy Jones
Even for a heavyweight,Ali's handspeed was a problem for foster.Roy in his absolute prime would have sticked and moved on foster all day.let's not forget how great Roy was in his prime.
bob foster will eat roy jones jr alive. bob foster hits a milion times harder than roy jones.
money maker andrew are you nuts in the head or something!
I think Roy Jones was faster, stronger and had more power but Bob Foster had the will and heart of a lion and like we've seen in past fights Roy was really, really fast and most people couldn't touch him, but if you just catch him onece with a good punch he goes down! And that was against lesser fighters, imagine what Foster would do....I love Roy Jones I really do, but his chin was too weak...
Roy jones??? Jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja
@@germanmorales1619 the problem is that roy jones was past prime when he got to light heavy he didnt have a lot of power there like he did in the lighter classes.
I love bob foster, but if Ali was too fast for him,Jones would have ran circles around him..
in order to knock him out he would have to catch him..RJJ was way too fast for him.
