RIP Stuart Anstis, the genius behind all!!!
🔥
2:17 has always had a majestic feeling
Exactly!
Her "uhhh" at 2:45 =best part of song
Ah, the COF days with Nick Barker on drums and Robin Graves on Bass. They'll always be my two favorite COF members.
And Stuart Anstis on guitar
@@lukeskywalkerjediknight2.013 very true. Stuart was a phenomenal guitarist.
@@Sanguine_Addiction He was Cradle’s greatest guitarist imo
@@lukeskywalkerjediknight2.013 agreed🤘

The blast beats sound so much better now.
It really makes the song. The blast beats are alive now, makes the song sound waaaaaaay heavier.
A masterpiece pure and simple. This whole album kicks ass. Dani FILTH. GOAT!!!!!
This album should be transformed into a theatre production..... I would love to see a play made by cradle
It would be strictly 18+
just about any play based on cts Bathory
This is how I always imagined it sounding when listening to the original 😂
Absolutly, yeah
Nicholas's drum sound on the whole album lacked bass and punch.....sounded really clicky ... probably triggers....now....they got it right on Dimmu's Death Cult Armageddon.... pretty much.....the performance is/was awesome...but the drum production/mix was lacking bass in the kick and snare
Meny more drums. And Dani sounds clearer. I have the old cd playing in my car to this day.
@@savagecarl2230i still prefer the original seems more "agressive". And my CD Still rolle in my car too. 25 years have pass wow
Immortal masterpiece
Like my love 4U
Literally the best track on the album next to Bathory Aria and it's sitting at 5k views. Smh, this right here is a fucking underappreciated MASTERPIECE.
This was also the first song I've ever heard by them. It truly is re-mistressed.
Its a more straightforward piece. Most people who like CoF from this period look to the more delicate, melodic or dramatic stuff.
Def the most vampire track of the whole album :3
@@savagecarl2230yeah c:
The Best is always the least
Now we are talking...
Absolutely beautiful. Now do Dusk and Her Embrace!
No, Dusk sounds just perfect IMHO
@@balrogDCLXVI i agreee !
Now THIS one is a good re-master.
Unlike Cacophonous' shameful treatment of Dusk and Her Embrace in 2017, this is an actual remaster that will have me rediscovering one of the albums that got me into black metal years ago, for days to come.
Ok, I have been listening to my favorite songs from this remaster all week but completely forgot about this track - which is one of the finest off the entire album. This sounds great. Almost immaculate.
these drum blasts are identifiable as Nick's work.
Bro I'm hearing hits and ride cymbals that I never knew he was playing 21 years ago! This is fantastic
@@80dubz exactly...me too. listening to the remaster brings a new light to great tracks like this one and the mastering treatment is like hearing the song for the very first time.
God's these remastered songs are amazing...!!!
I was in the Marines when this album came out...
This is how these amazing songs are supposed to, sound like..!
It's like listening to them for the 1st time again...
Thank you for your service, honestly i never thought anyone in the service generally would listen to this kind of Music, but we are all Humans and Music is the Answer indeed. Metal Forever \m/
I saw COF in 1998 in a small venue in NYC I was 22 years old, my friend invited me, I had no idea what I was about to hear and witness, Vampires, Goth Strippers, Lazers and Dani breaking everyone's hearing coming out that small venue. That energy they had, there was some Mexicans cursing out Dani in the front haha Amazing experience.
1:31 holy shit this section has choirs, never heard it before
theres a lot of sections like that... this is one of my favorite albums ever and i cant believe how many things ive never actually heard before lol
In the original version too
I’m crying
Love this track...forgot how much. Love those drums
yeah man it fucken changes everything.
Worth every years waiting for this new mix. thank you soooooooooooooooo much
Holy shit I forgot How awesome Filth is!
this is one of the best COF .this remasted is perfect !!!
love the drums in this song, one of favs for sure!
Loving the bass and drums
I can't believe how awesome is this. A perfect remastered album !!!
Awesome !!! 🤘 🦇
PERFECT MASTERPIECE
N Backer killer of skins!
The song that got me into this band
I heard this track on a late night metal radio show waiting for the DJ to say the name of the band and the rest is history

Иван Грозный that was it

Иван Грозный I’ve spent some time there
@@CreightonChaney-io4xv me too.
My favourite track from CoF's entire catalogue. The remastering (and possible re-recording of some drum parts? - some of it sounds so different) is very well done.
I can definitely hear the difference between this album and the old album, I LOVE this! LONG LIVE CRADLE!

Las líneas de bajo en este álbum son muy buenas.
I still love the dirty version but this one is equally as dirty...just cleaner.
It sounds amazing,I bet if the drums had sounded like this on the original release maybe Barker would still be in the band, but my guessing the line up changes cradle have had I'm guessing not.
Epic
at last the sound of the drum appears. 100% improved 😉
My fucking puberty re-mistressed!! And Nick...Oh my god Nick!
🤘
What year is that music?? I like that👹
Ok this new mix change everything, the whole experience! I was 13 when I first heard that album, 11 when I bought « The principle of evil made flesh » an album that changed my life.
The same year ( 2000 ) I bought « Dusk & her embrace » which I also deeply adored.
And then me & my friends took « Cruelty.... » the cross version album. We were stunned by the design, the pictures, the whole Elizabeth Bathory concept. Everything was more than fine until we listened to the album....the mix is absolutely awful, the drumming my goodness...it attack the ears, you can’t hear the bass etc...
And it’s a shame because musically speaking, this album is a masterpiece....
So finally they gave this album the mix it deserved....
Dusk and Her Embrace was an absolute revelation for me. I've never heard anything atmospheric like that ever. I was 13.
My first hymel onslaught was with this album!
@@ivanheikkinen I was 17. Welcome to my world.
holy SHIT
Te extraño tanto...
Holy fuck . Plea remaster the song : funeral in carphatia . That’s my fav song of cof
I love this remake, but "Gilded Cunt" is still my favourite song by Dani Filth because I think that's officially COF's heaviest song.
I want The Black Dahlia Murder to cover this track.
Nights came tralling ghost concertos
Heartstrings a score of skeletal reaper bows
Playing torture chamber music allegretto
Conducting over throes trashed to crescendo
Skinless the dark shall scream
Hoarse Her symphonies
Deathmashed as the moon
That had lifted Her dreams
And frowned on the winding steps down
To where the vulgar strayed,
Taunting sick Her tender prey
She glided in Her bridal gown
How sleep the pure
Desire in Violent Overture
An emanation of phantom madness
The Countess beheld in shroud
By girls bereft of future vows
Soon to wed in white the frosted ground
Burning like a brand on the countenance of god
A yearning took Her hand to His Seraphim, bound
Deep red hissed the cat whips
On the whim of ill-will
Whilst She entranced, nonchalant, abliss
Flayed further songs of overkill
How weep the pure
Desire in Violent overture
In a crescent-whime cellar of crushed roses
Pooled blood and broken dolls
A torchlit shadow theatre souled
With the echoed cries of lives She stole
Killing time
She struck the hours dead
In Her control
Thus menopaused
Her clock of hacked out cunts
Began to toll
"Thirteen chimes of ancient strain
I conjure forth with dirge
That fills the void with timbred pain
To fulfil my sexual urge"
Frights came wailing from the Darkside
Haunting lipless mouths a fugue of arcane diatribes
Velvet, their voices coffined Her in slumber
Bespattered and appeased
As pregnant skies outside bore thunder
How sleep the pure
Desire in violent overture
As when high winds
Attune whipped trees
Her savage nature pitched
Would once again conduct the pleas
Of those She loved to agonies
As if it were
The first time every night
That She carved Her seal
In the flesh of life. --
Poesia em forma de música brutal!!!
It should read conducting overtures , overtures thrashed to crescendo according to how he signs
Fuck and Awesome....no more words!!!
Waiting the same "treatment" for Vempire :)
what is wrong with VEmpire???
@Thunder Bolt that's right but this album deserve better, I love the original but this one, without triggered drums and a couple of other things, is awesome as well
2:46 oh..
Damn, first time listening to this enhanced track... fuck.. much better.. always thought those blast beats/snare sounded like fuckin' jazz brushes..
so much more punch
Wayy betterrrr
Please, Dusk and Her Embrace remaster too!!!
For that u can wait. They released the old label version some time ago

absolute apex of me career i think
Who else in here can say they saw cradle live in 2001 at the hollywood palladium with type o negative and smoked a bowl with gian pyres and dani next to their tour bus after the show

Qui est ce qui te dit qu'elle que chose
Nicholas did some great work on that album....but the mix didn't come through.... maybe because of Jan Peter Genkal
Ehm....I supose you're kidding, it's exactly the same thing...
what were you expecting to hear ?
its remastered of the album.
Sounds more "metal" but less "eerie". The atmosphere and creepiness of the original is a bit lost here.
Totally agree
environmental ambiance is sacrificed for a better sounding album. which is the point.
This song wasn't ever about being spooky, it was about being metal as fuck, and now the drums are alive. This is the way it was meant to be heard.
That’s probably because this song is about the tortures that Elizabeth had inflicted on her victims, while the songs before it are about Bathory’s decend into madness. That is why this song is louder and has fast paced beats-to give you a feeling like if you’re hearing somebody getting violently, beaten to death(like a Cannibal Corpse song), and the previous songs are supposed to sound eerie, so as to give you a feeling of suspense.
Keys sound worse
I always liked this track, but it was my least favorite on the album. Now that it's been remastered it sounds waaaaaaaaay more aggressive, I now realize how fucking gangster this track really is. The drums make this song.
100%black metal 😈😈😈
dont they consider themselves extreme metal?
@I Am Me i think its apt to say the early days like this is heavily rooted in black metal but its english. an english / victorian take on black metal
@I Am Me yeah true there's maiden in there. also explains the maiden and slayer covers. i like to think of them as a victorian black metal.
Nema više štipke i šipke. Šipak
Denis, sing in Russian, Russians love you!
Who is Denis ?
@@CAPTAINSARGE Danny, Denis, what's the difference. You have him Denny, we have him Denis.
@@sezamdiv298 the difference is that one is his actual name
Barker is sublime. I didn't care about the production on the 1998 album. It was actually produced to focus on Barker. This is a v good remaster, but also a bit of a cash grab- which is ok.
Barker himself apparently said he wasn't happy with how the original production sounded. I don't know if he's commented on the remaster
@@debrucey I personally haven't read anything about Barker's views on the 1998 production. He doesn't speak about COF much from what I have seen.
@@CameronBinaal He cried when he heard it

@@behindthen0thing what ? That's unnecessarily offensive and immature.
@@kristopherryanwatson yeah i know
Kristopher Ryan it was funny though 👌
@@riz984 right?
I've enjoyed every other song in the remastered version of this album but I have to admit I'm disappointed in this song. The organ sythiziser can hardly be heard. The melodic composition is sacrificed because of this in my opinion.
The synth is just fine. I can hear it perfectly and it sounds amazing.
@@super_z6353 I'm listening to it now through my pc's speakers and i can hear it clearly. It must be the earphones i was using when i first heard the song that was drowning out the syths.
This is the song on the album where the keyboards had to be recreated as the original track was not available to use.
@@RiffCollector Where did you read that?
@@debrucey Dani said in a Blabbermouth interview that some keyboard parts were lost as they were added in at the mastering stage. I was curious as to what parts they had to redo. By coincidence I was chatting to a friend that I went to uni with and he was the person that did it. It was only Desire In Violent Overture he did. He doesn't think any other songs were missing keys otherwise he would have been asked to do them too. He found out what keyboard Les was using from looking at old live photos and then went to the effort of getting the memory banks from it for the best way to try and recreate the sounds. Obviously he had to transcribe by ear as no master was available to use for reference. I think they've come out a little different to the original (which was always going to happen) but that he did a good job with trying to remake them. Thanks.
Wow terrible!!!
Can you explain why?
@@spookymulder945 I find it to be a worthy successor.
This is coming from a guy who got hooked to the band because of the original version of this song.
sounds great.
