I know how hard is traveling with kids and top of that you guys are able to record and make amazing videos. For me it's a hard work!!!Unbelievable how much patience you guys have.😊❤
I wholeheartedly agree! When I had my first child, I was too scared to take him to the shops and I overpacked for a short outing. Add another child to the mix, and I spent even more time at home. Though, I can say that, if I had a partner like Steve or Jess, it would have been a much more positive experience. They are an amazing family. Love watching their adventures and especially their family dynamics, the love and appreciation for each other, experiences and life.
This is beautiful, but it made me cry because it made me miss my father. Although he was a Swedish-American citizen, he was a professor of Mongolian and Tibetan languages and literature. My godfather, Unensechen, was Mongolian. He has passed away, as has my father. Although I am a white woman, my middle name is a Mongolian name, Narangerel, which means sun ray. I know for sure that I am the only person on this earth with my first name, last name, a Swedish one, and my middle name. Daddy and I traveled the world, and lived in many countries, primarily Turkey, Sweden, the USA, Britain, and Costa Rica, but we never made it to Mongolia together. He had visited there, and he promised to take me there one day, but he passed away. Before he passed, the Mongolian embassy in San Francisco held an honorary ceremony for him which I was privileged to attend. Thank you for bringing up happy tears remembering my daddy!
Really looking forward to this series. I know she has a lot of help from Steve but Jess is a beast: Carrying a baby on her front, a bag on her back, pushing a pram, pulling a luggage bag behind her, navigating train stations, minding a roaming, energetic toddler and still managing to smile! I have so much respect and admiration for her. Enjoy your adventure guys!
I'm amazed how easily you went through hours of traveling with two small children! Thank you for bringing the world to those of us who can not travel. I hope you continue to skate the world with us and your children. Thank you ❤
Holey smokes your editing gets better and better every time! Ive been soooo excited for this video because its just so different! This would be a wild adventure for a couple alone let alone with a newborn baby and a toddler 🤣 how on earth do you manage! 🤣Thank you for sharing these epic adventures as always I cant wait for the next one!
Wow..Mongolia with a toddler and a newborn?? You guys are true travelers! With Koa I thought you guys would pick easy destinations like the UK or USA. Or within Australia/NZ. So impressed. Steven may have messed up on the flight booking, but makes for a more entertaining vlog! 😊
Excuse,me...why NOT to travel to my country - Mongolia with litle ones??? It's not...Africa or...Amazon jungles! It's so comfortable to visit my country with kids!!!!! NO problems nor...challenges!
@annadagva9088 Much apologies. I did not mean to offend. It just looked so remote on the vlog. I have never been there and obviously need to get more educated.
Stunning! I am looking forward to more off Mongolia and enjoyed the contrast the journey provided. From Disney Park to Mongolian Ecolodge. Must say,the landscape, food and people all looked lovely and inviting.
You make travelling with two young children a breeze. You do deserve an award. Hunter is a well travelled little girl, & like you both takes everything in her stride. Namaste 🙏🌾🌴❤️
What a sweet and so nice young family has traveled in our country! Was watching their content with wide smiles all over my face, with thoughts of their well brought attitudes to my country, their great appreciation to a total different enviroment! Would really like to find out their other videos throughout their 10 day trip!
I am going to start calling your children Tiny Stephen and mini Jess. Absolutely adorable 🥰 loving this video. My ancestors way way back came from Mongolia 🇲🇳. One of my dream is to make it there.
Watching your videos that I have missed and thoroughly enjoying them. You make it look so easy travelling with Hunter and baby Koa. Had to laugh when you got roasted by the checking in clerk at the airport saying you could have flown from Tokyo ha ha. Happy Belated 6th anniversary , Jess and Steve may you have many many more blessed, healthy, prosperous years together.
Just the title, plus the sneak look on the previous video, has me wanting to restart my research for travelling to Mongolia. Very few people - as in maybe one - knows it has been on my wish list for over two decades. Especially having lived in China for a while - so close yet so far. Onto the video to get more inspiration.
I always been fascinating by Mongolia 😍 I'm very excited to watch all the videos !! And guys, you are the best ! Traveling with two children with always a smile in your face, love it 💖
Hunter is so mature! I was scared to order and pay for myself till I was like 15! And Koa is so adorable, he doesn’t even look real. 😂 you two are raising two amazing citizens of the world! ❤
Mongolia is my favourite country that I've visited so far. I went there for the first time in 2016 when a friend and I took the Trans-Siberian train from Putinia to Mongolia, and the second time was last month. The scenery is breathtaking, and the people are friendly (when sober). The food is quite decent and the culture and history are fascinating. In modern times Mongolia has positioned itself as a buffer between Putinia and China, and this goes back to the communist era when the Mongolian communist government was convinced that Mao was planning to invade and conquer, so it cosied up to the USSR and became a Soviet vassal state. Have you tried khailmag yet? That was my favourite Mongolian food.
I am just amazed. Mongolia AND traveling with kids. I can't even do a non-stop flight to a hot humid climate without having a meltdown. I like traveling to new places and having adventures but as soon as I am tired, hungry or hot I am unable to cope. And also, you are doing the filming and editing. A travel TV show would have a crew to film and to plan your itinerary. You two are amazing. I also cannot believe it's been six years since the wedding.
And im glad to see that people like u guys are coming to mongolia to explore our beautiful country and im a kid im 11years old and live in the city and when i see people posting about mongolia i really like it and i just wanted to thank u guys that u came here 😊
I have been watching your vlogs for several years now and I admire how adventurous your family is. Hunter is a kind and curious little girl and so joyful. Koa has the perfect big sister to look up to. Thank you for sharing your travels with us. Love from Kenya.
Omgosh--a friend recently spent a couple of years enjoying the myriad joys of Ulaanbaatar LOL...I'm delighted this is the first video that I'm back to see *settles in for a long streaming catch-up*
A really interesting destination and so nice to see how a family takes on such a challenging trip. Hunter is her adorable self. She adds the sunshine to every vlog and little Koa is so very sweet and has a lovely little smile. How truly blessed you both are with your children. Love the cute little pup. What a lovely family you’re with. Very hospitable people! xxxxxx ❤
You absolute TROOPERS!! This would have been a tiring travel day without kids haha 😂 Mongolia looks epic and I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
This was so fun to watch as I've had my eye on visiting Mongolia recently (if I went it would be my 50th country) and I'm looking forward to getting some ideas of places to go if I pull the trigger
As everyone is commenting, of course massive kudos to you,as always, for not only coping travelling with 2 cherubs, but making your travels super exciting and such a learning experience for Hunter! As a teacher, the most wonderful thing about all of this is that there is not a device in sight!! Huge congrats to you both, because for teachers, seeing kids of all ages glued to a device all the time is a huge negative! Many kids these days can’t even last a 10 minute car ride without needing to be amused with technology!! Keep up the great parenting and happy travels! Cheers from Australia
The expression on your face when the man at the check in desk, said you could’ve flown was priceless! At least it was one way to see most of Japan’s scenery on the ground, instead of in the air. Looked like a very tiring day, but what a memory you can look back on and laugh! Or say, chalk that one up for experience! Btw, loved the puppy chewing on your shoe lace, he or she was adorable! Can’t wait to see more adventures with your family!
OMG! I never want to do this many changes and hopp on hopp offs in a journey. And we're 2 adults travelling! And you did this with two kids and luggage! Kudos!!! I envy your calm. Looking forward to your Mongolia impressions, it's on our bucket list, too.
As a mother of two under 4, I am in awe of you and your ability to keep it together while traveling. I just did a flight with my boys alone to and from Hawaii (from Southern California) and we did it!
You guys are the best parents taking trips to all these beautiful places and taking your kids with you. Your giving them a view of the entire world and it’s culture! Needless to say I think hunter is gonna ace geography in school lol 😂
Love the way you did this vid, feels nostalgic. Real authentic travel like how you used to make vids like the Turkey trip before kids. So cool to see you can still doing it with 2 little ones 🤗
Bravo!! You two are awesome!! Little Hunter did great during this whole trip and Koa was a gem on all of the trains. This was such a cute video!! A trip would not be as much of an adventure had you known that there was a direct flight.
Love how you try and show the "raw" side of travel, its not all kids being quiet and a dream the whole way, it's a bit manic and crazy travelling with kids but manageable if you have the patience!!!!
You guys are quite incredible. We travel quite a bit with our little girl, who's Hunters age but adding a baby into the mix and all those bags - AMAZING !!! You're my family travel inspiration !
You are absolutely the best traveller family. All those trains and direct flights from Tokyo. Hahahahaha ....Fantastic 😊 I'm very excited to travel through Mongolia with you. So cool....
I know you probably don't show the hard moments, but I am SO IMPRESSED with baby Koa! Omg, what a chill baby! Hunter of course is already a pro, but she is such an adaptable toddler. I think many of us would tune in if you talked about your tips and tricks for traveling with little ones!
Happy Anniversary to the beautiful couple. Wish you all the happiness, and long life next to each other, and your gorgeous kids. Have fun . Magnolia looks a beautiful country. Love you Hunter a lot ❤❤❤❤
First congrats on 6 years. Next I would just like to say every time I watch your videos I think: Jess you are so pretty (LOVE YOUR HAIR), Stephen you are such a great dad, and what 2 cute little kids!🥰🤎💙
Wow, well done! I literally clapped when you were talking about elevators and that you were glad you weren’t in Europe. 😂 I’m British nanny who doesn’t drive so, I’ve been carrying a baby/toddler, their buggy and change bag up and down train/tube stairs for 20 years! Others rarely helped and no one has since COVID. I felt that!
I've been so excited for this series! You putting it out now instead of the weekend makes it an awesome birthday present! These types of trips are exactly what I want to do one day! Just graduated as a teacher so I'll start working to save up. Hopefully in a couple of years I can follow into your footsteps!
Flying The Nest deserves an award. I am so impressed by how you aren't afraid to take on crazy travel challenges with babies. You make it look easy?

It's the safest country to travel.

I'm amazed as to Hunter being so good on these long journeys that you take. I'm sure it's not like that all the time, but she does so well.
