Reminds me of the time I was waiting to exit from a hospital grounds onto a main road. Suddenly, a police motorcyclist pulled across me and started blowing a whistle. I was unaware what the heck was going on until a police escort drove past, didn't get a 'hands up' as a thank you as he drove off either. I think a lot of drivers are unfamiliar as to what it means exactly (in as much as if you hear a whistle being blowed) until a police officer stops in front of you, also they're not easy to hear inside a car if you have the radio etc., on! Would also of thought yellow florescent gloves would help at night. I know the yellow coats are normally adequate and the blue lights normally do the job, but when an officer puts his hand up wearing black gloves they can be harder to see, especially with the lights of oncoming traffic. Love the way the PO's communicate with the traffic using the whistles (sadly we're not all fluent in whistle language)! Worse than a Premier League football match!

@Walter Sobchak Yes but there's nothing they can do about that, by law they can't 'cover' the plate, or not have one, so they have to be seen by the public. But be serious, if it hasn't got it's lights/sirens on, not many would know it's an unmarked one, and when it does have them on it's probably going to be driving at a considerable speed it'd be hard to see the plate. Viper, and other youtubers, can do their part to keep it a secret by bluring out the plate, which is why they do it. Even TV shows do it, it's just to keep it as secret as possible. You could ask him yourself if you are able to/want to.
