Your description of using percentages for the amount of braking needed per gear is a better explanation than the other 15 videos I've watched on this topic. Much appreciated!
Hey mate, I really appreciate this guide, I've had loadcell pedels and an actual racing rig for about a week and I have been 0.5s since I'm just not trail braking properly anymore and I wasn't the best at it anyway. After watching this guide I improved almost on all my best tracks by quite a few tenths and you have drastically helped me, I thought maybe I wasted my money on the racing rig playseat and loadcell pedals but you have proven me wrong all it takes is time and I achieved this within 1 hour, started watching your how to be faster using practice and I will implement that soon and see where that takes me, thank you brandon
Brendon you are a great person, you give us all these great tips, which is not a matter of course because almost no esportsman does that.👏👏 Hopefully this will be rewarded with another world championship title. You deserve it 🙏
This was super helpful man, I recently turned off the anti lock assist and have been struggling with locking my brakes in the slower speed corners your example really helped to make me understand trailbraking better
Man thanks so much for this type of videos they really help me out on understanding the basics. Its my second year on f1 since I started on f1 22 which was a horrible game to start with ngl and now I try to push to the laptimes you guys make but I always end up 1 or 2 seconds off its just insane the level esports guys are
I wish I found this video sooner. With all the tutorials I watched, not one person explained the relation between speed and brake pressure. It was epiphany I had like two months into the game. Top notch content. Also apparently the coolest cat in F1 Esports.
I got my T-LCM pedals and just wanna send them back after few sesions when my lap times are worse than on default T3PA but now after this video i hope just get better and better! Thanks for upload!
Wow as a very casual f1 fan… played on a controller in f1 2017-2019 and now just bought f1 2023… 1st racing rig ever (8nm csl dd pro, csl loadcell pedal, clubsport v2 wheel)… cant wait to try your braking tips !!
As someone who runs no assists except corners lone, a video on tips to find braking points on corners. I struggle so much turning it off and 2s slower on TT!
I use no assists except corner line. Im bad at find the braking and turn in point without it and even when I find the right points im always 1 second slower
I have a question about setups and the bias. Does it matter with specific setups around each track or can I use break bias and differential with whatever setup I use when It comes to other tracks like Bahrain for example?
I learned on Bahrain, I am sure I am still not doing it 100% correctly but this is my first f1 sim. Fastest lap 129.318, I don’t get how you guys go so fast thru turn 4, I used Ronhar for my rival, I lose a little in 1 and 2 but he pulls away at 4, the sweeping right hander has a bump close we to the apex that has spun me more then once. After that delta stabilizes and until the final turn. Every time I try to ride that curb the way you guys do I invalidate lol.
Amazing lap time!!! That’s fantastic especially considering first year on this game, generally i approach the corner trying to carry huge minimum speed. The exit isn’t really that important so carrying huge entry speed and getting more downforce is more important than a stable exit Of course in a perfect world both would happen
@@BrendonLeigh bout to get DD and get off my Logitech 923, hopefully the better braking system and improved driving and force feedback system will help too!! Thanks for your videos, moved on to sector one in Jeddah lol, rest of it seems easy. Waiting on Fanatec to get more f1 wheels, guesst they ran out.
Again an helpfully video thanks. But I have a problem and I don’t know why so maybe you can help me. My last League Race was Singapore and I trained very much for the race (Like for everyone). But I’m still 9 tenths slower than you and I don’t know why. I drive the same line and same breaking point and same gear like you but I’m still that slow. And it feels so good but it isn’t l. My question is: Do you drive a long time and make a big failure and didn’t recognised it and wonder why you slow or did that never happen to you? So maybe you got a problem and done it better and get better. Sorry for this long question but it’s very important to get better.
More than likely is mid corner speed, you can brake late but if you are over slowing the car in the apex it’ll hurt the lap time dramatically. Try braking at the same point but make an effort to realise the brake pedal earlier. Once the car is under steering through the apex you’ve gone to fast. When you start getting understeer brake 1-2 meters more and then you’ll find a good balance
i so love your guides. tyvm for them. I got a question there. I got csl pedals with load cell from fanatec. they are really new yet and the rubber is very hard and i got not much moving area there. is that "correct"?

tried not using abs in f1 21 kept locking and gave up, this video makes me wanna try it again

Hopefully this helps you understand the basics of braking in F1 23
Thank you, I going to apply that, I guess that’s my really problem why I can’t go more fast, thanks bro!!!!

Best trail braking tutorial around. Much less complicated than most, but hits exactly the same.

You are my legend bro, you explain your tutorials with love and passion , no rush like others do . Keep up the great work mate 👍🇳🇱👍

More content coming this week 👌
New f1 player here from flight simming. Learning a lot things from you mate! Keep it up!
Happy to hear these videos are helping! More coming soon
Excellent video mate - just started playing F1 23 and think I'll be wanting a proper set-up.
Can't wait to practice correct braking
As a noobie who has been playing the game for 2 weeks and playing with a controller, hope this helps me through my next races.
Keep me updated on your progress please! More content like this coming soon so hopefully those help also
Love the breakdown Brendon, always a great help!
Very nice tutorial. Also a very good resource for my English listening
Keep up the videos bro, you are a ton of help especially like me who is new to f1
Thank you! Im proud these videos are able to help people:) more like this coming soon
Subscribed. Great breakdown!
Awesome stuff!

Amazing video. If you can also share techniques of overtaking and defending, that would be great!!
Those videos will be coming soon 💪💪
learned so much mate thank you🤝🤝❤
Thanks for the video!! 🎉
You’re welcome 💪
Ay man u helped a lot i got 2/1 seconds faster
Thank you man
I use no assists except corner line. Im bad at find the braking and turn in point without it and even when I find the right points im always 1 second slower
Quite hard to master these on a controller
THE GOAT!
can we do more videos in cockpit cam with the halo on?
Maybe you can show the graphs on race net of the brake and throttle percentages along with the steering lock? I love your clear explanations
Fantastic idea!! I’m doing a follow up video with a medium and advanced braking technique videos so will include data in those
thank you so much
@BrendonLeigh how stiff do you have your brakes? I have the csl elite v2 pedals and im unsure how stiff to have them
Thanks
I have a question about setups and the bias. Does it matter with specific setups around each track or can I use break bias and differential with whatever setup I use when It comes to other tracks like Bahrain for example?
Ive started playing F1 22 and this video is really helpful. Do you think i should keep playing that game or pick up f1 23 or 24?
Does trail braking help when you use abs assist on ?
Can trail braking be beneficial with ABS on?
I'm new to F1 games. Can you only trail brake with auto gear locking off because i have it on.
better to turn it off, i got my first f1 game 2 weeks ago (f1 24) and am on controller and turned off all assists
breaking pressure
1st gear 60%
2nd gear 80%
3rd gear 80% - 85%
4th gear 85% - 90%
5th gear 90% - 100%
Every time I try to turn I hit the brake and can’t turn the car and just want to give up
Always brake in straight line. Look at it like you can turn OR brake. You can't do both at the same time.
I learned on Bahrain, I am sure I am still not doing it 100% correctly but this is my first f1 sim. finally i can go now fully without assist 😭
