Webby is such a king. Deserves a lot more subscribers and attention. His editing is unmatched, ideas are great and he's giving us a lot of content from F1 23 this early on. Maybe if you got time for it you could start a My Team career mode? so true! That's why we love Webby. But I kinda hope that he doesn't get more attention... Because then he'll be to busy to answer comments and community and so on...
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support :) I’m not quite sure yet whether or not I’ll do a career mode. I think if I get an idea for something unique I can do with a career mode then I’ll do it, otherwise I’m not so sure
Thanks for this :D I was expecting the time to be around the same in Time trial but the race pace was absolutely surprising. Funny how the game fucks you on overtakes and really doesn't want you to do brave moves
It depends very much on the type of corners. Like in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, if you use automatic transmission, the game will shift up to 7th gear before the last corner and will not shift down after you lift off, where the faster way is shift down briefly to 6th for better corner exit acceleration, and because the next part is the long main straight, this loses a lot of time.
I played 22 with only full traction control as an assist as I really struggled on a controller to be consistent with anything else and was able to be pretty fast until it rained and then I had no chance against the ai, they were just too fast
I am not worried about how fast I am on controller. But the straight line speed of the AI is laughable. My car serves like a magnet to the AI cars, because they suddenly become aggressive dive bombing when literally there is no room for it. And in the corner they are absolute slow piece but the exit traction traction is unbelievable. This spoils the whole enjoyment.
I’m being serious I had to move from TC off to TC medium when I went from F1 2021 to F1 22 because the traction was that bad loosing the car in 5th gear. When I tried F1 23 from the Beta testing think it’s so much easier this year a lot more people will use TC off now.
Idk if its just me but I really dislike the little leaderboard in the top left. Its too large and im not a fan of the "TV" look of it. Its just visually excessive.
I personally used TC and ABS in 22 because it was my first F1 game and I didn't quite know the balance between spinning and traction. For 23 I will be attempting to get better at using no assists but I might end up using ABS cuz I use a G29 and the brakes SUCKKKKKKKK
How challenging is ABS off? I drive with ABS, auto gears and racing line and I was planning to turn off ABS for '23. With the new rear locking though I feel like it'll make me about 2-3 seconds slower per lap, which is obviously not good for me!
ABS off can be faster at times due to you having the opportunity to control the brakes all by yourself. You can take much more speed into slower corners if you brake at the right point. Even tho it takes some practise but you'll get the hang of it pretty soon as you start turning it off. Braking late may make you end up in locking up but all in all it can be much faster. I was using ABS for a long time and i am playing the F1 games since 2020. But since 2021 i am playing without it and it gives you a much more realistic experience and if you mastee it, it will make you more consistant and faster!
@@Webby87 thanks for the reply, the rear locking is what's really making me debate on whether I should even turn off any assists for this game apart from the ones I mentioned earlier in the first place. Hoping for some more first impressions videos soon!
@@TwizzyTJ I get what you're saying, thanks for the detailed reply! I tried some ABS off gameplay today on 22, and it made me a whole lot slower but it was really fun to have more control over the car. I won't practice too much ABS off on 22 though, for from what I've heard the '23 handling is quite a bit different.
Truth is, you have to play the game with ABS and full TC. Then you can brake as hard as you want and accelerate as hard as you want. Otherwise you're using 70 per cent braking and 70 per cent throttle. It's faster without. Turning the assists off just makes you less lazy. In reality, the assists should slow you down by 2 seconds a lap but they don't so there's no incentive to turn them off and risk spinning all the time

It started from questioning asist in f1 game to the parents abandoning you. Real sad 😭
I also believe that assists make it harder to make mistakes, but at the cost of lap times.
