that what i hate obvious `1/10 SCT is the tiny hexes i just got into this rc stuff and knew that was a silly size choice. 17mm 1/8 buggy stuff is whats needed .i made 17mm aluminum hex from hex bar stock and washer shim behind pin to fit buggy wheels on SCT but i may convert it to like hpi or ? 1/8 th scale..thank for tips Be bledssed
Hi Guys i got me some new driveshafts today and they came with some screw on hexes but now i cant Put the wheel nuts on too tight because Then the wheels wont Spin freely. Has anybody a fix for that?( Btw i have a 2wd Rustler
I had this issue too I just sanded down the little nubs on the back side of the hex and it fixed the issue idk if its a bad thing that I did but it seemed to work I will let you know if it breaks anything
@@ThePurpleBenchRC so the Hex hast nothing to Stop itself from compressing the bearings. So when i tighten Up the nut It presses the Bearings onto the inner wall of the bearings carrier and Then the top Part and the lower part of the Bearing touches the wall and wont Spin at all
Got to be honest with you only RC car you don't have to do that with is aarma I got a stupid volcano 3s that constantly going to tighten these tires so annoying my Arma nope never
Thanks for the video. With I woulda seen this sooner. Wheel fell off and the inside of it is all stripped out on my traxxas maxx
Ah bummer, I also had to learn this the hard way as well, but definitely good info to make your wheels last!
Great tip thanks brother👍
Right on man!
Good vid but what if I use Mips? Should I just get new wheels and use the washers?
What kind of wheels are those I need this
Where did you get that screwdriver? 1:09
Loved the vid very useful
I can’t keep wheels on my rustler when running 3s… aluminum hex nuts and epoxy the wheel to them I still rip the center of the wheel off
When I tight mine and I drive it gets loose then the axle just spins not the tire how to fix
You can try adding blue locktite. How are your hexes?
@@ThePurpleBenchRCmaybe his nylon is worn out

hmm, where exactly do the wheels bind up? Is it possible that the hexes are not the proper depth?

Actually, come to think of it, I've never had this problem with any of my Arrma's. Probably because they are 14mm or 17mm hexes. Arrma Tough lol :)
