Thanks for your video, it looks that you really love painting. I would like to ask you a question: I have a car that needs to be painted again, originally was painted with solvent based paint, shall it be painted with a solvent or a water based paint? Regards.
Wtf? lol, on wood, water based dries faster than the solvent... actually, I just realized there is probably no oil in auto paint, lol.. still though, over the last few years, I have painted and finished more things then ever, and it seems to be such a strange industry. It's all difficult to get a perfect finish, if possible even, but without a paint booth, it's not possible. It's all so sensitive to imperfections, but tolerance of those flaws is sooo subjective, too, right. .... lol, it's like, how good are your eyes? Cz, going by the paint jobs, on things, which is almost everything, it's a different world for people with excellent light vision. How close is anyone's face ever going to be to the bottom of the bumper? lol But, technically, if a dandelion landed there, it's a spoiled job. It's so weird, lol. peace
i never look at it like that but you are right about that ,,,,,, painting cars it can become very sensitive and everything can go bad in few seconds ,,,,,, lol.
Great vid I have a question can I use regular base solvent paint on a aluminum body vehicle that has water based from the factory
Thanks man. Can you do a coat of water based over solvent based sealer?
Yes clear and sealer stays solvent based
Question…
If you were to spray mdf furniture would you spray with solvent or water based paint ?
