Big disagree. If you're at the point where you're actually putting the money aside to build a PC then you clearly have some expendable income. And if you're able to do so, then you're also able to save a little more by waiting to buy that item. GPU is still a good example for this, if you already are at the point of putting aside 400 dollars for a 4060 Ti 8GB, then 25% more of that cost is not going to be much more difficult to add to it by waiting. If money is so tight that you cannot gather any more money by waiting, then your finances are so tight that you're unable to save any money - at which point you shouldn't be buying a computer parts at all.

Linus installing the cooler reminds me of when I installed my own stock AMD one (which I'm pretty sure is also made by cooler master) one of the screws didn't catch so it ended up bending the backplate back off my motherboard so I didn't have proper contact with the cpu and it used to run really hot. I didn't see it for quite a while because I never took the back of my case off to check because I've never heard of it happening before. I just assumed that I got a bad one.
About value and 'bang for the buck': For a lot of particularly *younger* people they quite literally have a fixed unmovable budget that *cannot* change i.e. "you have $500 to spend for your christmas/birthday present" or whatever and so they cannot change it no matter how much they might want to. In a lot of cases you can explain the merits of saving the extra money all you like but whoever you're explaining it to either isn't going to understand *or* 'the budget is the budget'. Having said that I am still very firmly on the value side whenever I can be so yeah I do think it's the right way of doing things *overall*

Used to own a DF-85. I absolutely loved it. Having the fans on hinges with easy to remove filters on the front was great. Nice large chassis that you'll be comfortable building in even now (don't know if current cards would fit though lol). I'll admit that the front 5.25 bays being covered was a pain but I barely used the dvd drive by the time I built in that thing. Was my very first system and I did all sorts of research before a friend told me about the case.

Regarding the sandals, ECCO would be a problematic partner anyway. They have been unapologetic in their continued involvement with Russia. Which, with a very engaged audience, could result in a severe 💩⛈️ I know I will never buy ECCO again.
1:05:00 I totally understand that somebody needs a monitor or a GPU "right now" and they cannot spend more time to save the extra $50. However, if you're in hurry, why not get the cheapest possible thing. For example, get the cheapest possible RTX 3060 instead of getting premium RTX 3060 Ti if you cannot afford 3070 that you would actually need. And *store the money saved for the next purchase in the future!* If you cannot store saved money, that's the problem you or your family must learn to fix. It doesn't get fixed by getting more expensive but worse products than you would really need "right now".
Love the videos yall. I always thought building a PC would be difficult to do, but now it looks really easy compared to coyote swapping our fastback mustang or us building my family's 35k sqft shop complex on our ranch with just three of us brothers.
You can tell how competitive Linus is when you see how frustrated he is when he first sees the parts they picked for him
Man I am a maniac and watch LTT livestreams at office even after they have been streamed, and I have been laughing so much that I have to close it 😂😂 Can't watch this one at office without bursting!
Dennis needs to follow Linus around tomorrow to capture the full glory of Da Bomb and its after effects...
Please don't, lol
I owned a DF-85. LOVED the red fans it came with, the ease of cleaning fan filters, the swinging fan doors, nice large interior... Makes me so sad I had to get rid of it after pulling it from storage because roaches :(
Rule should've been if he goes *over* 10%, he gets the punishment, he goes *under* 10%, his "challenger" gets the punishment.
Keep watching, 😁
Well, if it was a 1% or less difference, Plouffe got punished.
I am at 14:26. I am loving this stream. Linus is a champ. I am surprised this only has 884K views. This is LTT gold. What a start to a stream. lmaooo
After the getting the RAM wrong, Linus through the stages of grieve.
Can't state how much I love that your corporation supports UFD Tech, it's lovely to see a monolith of UA-cam tech supporting other tech channels through their hard times...
Hahaha i never saw Linus happier than when he got that power supply right
54:40 linus pulls the stubby screwdriver out. Am I the only one who noticed the transparent design??
When Linus said $279 for a 13700k I was like is he high at work?? 😂
You'd think a high person would be *more* likely to guess the correct price, given that it's $420.
Drinking water with the oil based spicy sauce was already funny.
No one stopping him was golden.
extremely fun video, loved it linus!
… I’m dead. Sitting here editing drum recordings for clients and this in the background… utter chaos 😂
They should do a Linus vs Luke one where they guess against each other.
Im an hvac technician and Im excited for the tech pants. I have a really nice tool bag that I use for service calls but many of my tools just end up in my pockets while on a call. I see those pants being very useful. I just hope they will be rugged enough.
Fun stream! Chat got weird in the end! But great job LTT!!!!
yeah the transphobia is unhinged
Used to own a DF-85. I absolutely loved it. Having the fans on hinges with easy to remove filters on the front was great. Nice large chassis that you'll be comfortable building in even now (don't know if current cards would fit though lol). I'll admit that the front 5.25 bays being covered was a pain but I barely used the dvd drive by the time I built in that thing. Was my very first system and I did all sorts of research before a friend told me about the case.
The colors seems off on this video. A little bit too washed out.
Just u
It's a live stream, so it's not color graded in post like a fully edited video.
That Candle Thing really escalated... i didn´t expect Linus´ Kink Dungeon lol😆🤣
I was unaware what "Da Bomb" was, I thought alcohol presumably and though Linus was sooking out but knowing that's some "Freedom Made" Hotsauce I now feel sympathy 🤨👍
Regarding the sandals, ECCO would be a problematic partner anyway.
They have been unapologetic in their continued involvement with Russia. Which, with a very engaged audience, could result in a severe 💩⛈️
I know I will never buy ECCO again.
Dan pissing himself laughing in the background made my day!
Its not a group of legos that hurts to step on... It's the one stray lego you don't see in the middle of the night laying on it's side. 😩
Really immervise dynamic video work when discussing topics with crew. Love the team.
16:25 LMAOO Linus is SOO done with this video and its only been 20 minutes. Im crying!
Love the videos yall. I always thought building a PC would be difficult to do, but now it looks really easy compared to coyote swapping our fastback mustang or us building my family's 35k sqft shop complex on our ranch with just three of us brothers. It's crazy how much my mindset has changed after actually accomplishing something big, and what used to feel daunting now seems so simple to me that I can't believe I ever worried about my capabilities to do anything too complex. Love the content, can't wait to see more, Thanks.
You guys get paid to have that much fun at work? Has to be one of my favorite LTT video's ever. That was fun.
Having just done S22 hot sauce challenge, i literally wouldnt even prank anyone with Da Bomb, I shuddered when I saw it on the wheel. For note, i didnt use any water or anything, raw dogged all 10, but Da Bomb is just unique - it doesnt burn, its not spicy - IT LITERALLY HURTS. It stings, think of eating chips and stabbing your gums, very similiar but in every gummy nook and cranny. I actually gained a little more respect for Linus's professional work ethic here because the last thing you want to do is pull a Sean Evans and keep talking. GOOD JOB LTT CREW BUT MAKE DAN DO IT TOO BB!
This was the best, most hilarious video Linus. It made me gain a lot of respect for you. Thank you. Enjoy and absorb the embarrassment man, you're back on our level and relatable.
I'm 15 minutes in and Dan is just losing it in the background - we love Dan
Watching Dan cracking up in the background as Linus curses Plouffe for knowing full well what he did... oh man... so good xD
I need a more chaotic version of this where they don’t clean the pie off the face or remove the DaBomb option like little babies 🕺🏼
NICE! I've been waiting to watch them talk about that Phanteks NV7
1:17:25 thats wild, turning a regular old wall. one of the quotes of all time
Rotator cuff injury here myself, swimming has been a godsend for getting back strength and movement without further injury
That's just how it was building back then. If you got a post first try, you were amazed and proud of yourself.
I built that exact machine back in the day and the i7 and the r9 290 sucked up so much power. But it let me run skyrim all maxxed+ it was a good memory. Thanks.
