Woohoo! Been waiting for this to come out before I ordered my next sub!! It’s down to this guy or the RSL!! 🎉 btw. This is def the best looking sub out there for under $400!
Looking forward to more on your look inside. I have a pair of SVS SB1000 Pros in one system and a RSL Speedwoofer 10E in another and a mini-sub connected to each of my Beam 2 TV setups. Always looking for the next great sub deal. It’s all about that bass.
Absolutely! You must be new to my channel? If so, welcome! You can check out my other look inside videos by clicking on the playlist link below and that should give you an idea of my format. ua-cam.com/play/PLg0Xq1LbiZBXWNQtsEOqq_LynPGsLNpxy.html
@@generationbehindhifi yes I seen 1 of your videos and love it. It’s good to know and see that we’re going to invest in. Thanks again keep up the great job 👏
@@oldman1517 You're absolutely right. This isn't our first rabbit so all cables have been bunny proofed. Harbor Freight has excellent cable protectors.
According to the HECO website this sub's output is rated at 125 RMS /250 MAX watts. I never understand why companies use 12-inch drivers with such low power output.
I talk about this exact point in my look inside video. There are other factors at play like efficiency of the driver and box design that will will impact a subwoofer's output. The driver being used in the Heco has a high sensitivity of 92dB so it doesn't take a lot of power to get great output from it. This "125W RMS" powered Heco subwoofer is louder than my 500w REL HT1205 subwoofer when performing the same Doom SPL test.
@@GoggleAX In my look inside video I don't go into too much detail about how this subwoofer sounds because I save that for my review video. In my look inside video I primarily focus on the quality of the driver (t/s parameters), amplifier power and components (amp dyno for average power), and the construction quality of the cabinet. If my look inside video is popular enough and viewers want me to do a review of this subwoofer then I might do one. I'm not a big fan of "review" videos because they are so subjective and highly dependent on who is doing the review. I would rather present my viewers with data on the quality of the components so they can draw their own conclusion.
It's an AB amplifier, they usually have more dynamic headroom than class D amps. A lot of manufacturers inflate their ratings anyways so real world measurements are how you weed out the junk from the good stuff.
Hi David. Did you reach out to Audio Advice and this is what they said? I emailed them a few weeks ago about this and never received a response. This is really sad if true.
Amazon has the Heco Aurora Sub 30A for $229 with free returns, but I doubt you will be returning it. amzn.to/3NrLNKj
Sweet man! That thing looks great! Can't wait for the look inside!

Did you ever think of pro audio subs? If you do see if you can do a video on the Yorkville LS801P it’s 134DB
No, I haven't thought about pro audio subwoofers but I'm not against the idea.
How you compare whith polk audio xt12 Who wins?
Definitely the Heco! Fit and finish is quite a bit better and audible distortion is much lower with the Heco Sub30A vs the Polk XT12.
Gees ... I hate to break it to you but there seems to be a Rabbit in your living room!
😳
haha! That's "speaker Bun"! He's my wife's pet rabbit and isn't caged so he will pop in every once in a while. :)
@@generationbehindhifi Some bunnies love to bite through cables FYI 😅

So volume or loudness(spl) is one measurement variable, will you speak to some of the others in the next video?

It’s not about wattage it’s about the spl of the woofer the sensitivity of the woofer and also the enclosure.

Get these quick...Audio Advice who is the distributor in the US is discontinuing Heco products.
