Class mate. Getting back into seafishing and all fishing again this year. Caught turbot up up Druridge bay about 10 year ago. Boiling hot day and crystal clear water barley any chop on the sea and they were there in good numbers. Im a rock hopper, l9ve going light and to the places that dont get fished. Wrasse and pollack my go to up northumbeland and just over into eyemouth. Going for 5lb plus wrasse this year.

@northeastangling good luck pal. I live for the rock hopping, light gear and off I go. Going to take my son to blaydon I think. Once it's fishing nice and weather warms up and get him right into it. Looks ideal.

My go to spot just the right on the grass ledge, had some great sessions so far on it, you can see my house across the river on the hill 🙂

Hard to get the crab at teesside cos of all the die off couple year ago they only just starting to come back slowly
Shggestion,,,small circle hooks if youve not tried them,they do hook themselves and easy to unhook the fish,😊
Thanks Steven. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with circle hooks. I am quite set in my ways when it comes to hook patterns and presentation.
However, let's get a video done at some point. Circle versus J hook 👍.

@@northeastangling enjoyed the video ,,,I was the same at first and I still use Aberdeenshire but I tried size 1 circles on the humber near an inlet and they were a success, the humber though is a bit more choppy and brown and they go for the bait a bit more aggressively, cheers

It's just off the A694, your looking for Derwenthaugh Rd. Check Google maps👍. Take care if you are fishing high water , the river is in flood and the tides are still quite big. Possibility of the river flooding the road at top tide.

Hi, they are 11ft , rated up to 4oz. Handle 4oz and two baits no problem at all. 👍
Might need stitches in ya hand and a week on sick
