I never understood why people compare vehicle manufacturers of vehicles that have modified so heavily. After a point it doesn’t resemble how manufacturer made it anyway.
@@DirtGarage I dig your Taco, but when most people think Taco vs. JT they are thinking IFS vs. straight axle. Once you SAS a modern day Taco it's not really a good Toyota vs Jeep comparison but a rig vs. rig compsrison because the Yota is now setup just like a Jeep. Now if the Taco was setup like Nate from Dirt Lifestyle and was compared to the white JT with I believe 37s would be a better comparison in my opinion. @@TheHitSquadOffroad Yeah if you take it that way I guess. But this was never meant to be comparing stock to stock, in fact its not really a comparison video at all, just wheeling with Jeeps and Toyotas..
I had a Tacoma TRD 2019 and put a three inch lift on it and had to trim the f out of the front wheel to get no rubbing and was getting around 13mpg with 33s and a 3 inch lift with a transmission that shifted all the time like the New Mexico weather. This truck was lackluster and trash. Traded it in for a ZR2 diesels Colorado and that too was a step up. But let me tell you . Traded that in for a 21 Gladiator Rubicon and put a 3 inch lift with 37s and a metal bumper and winch and stock gearing. This thing shits on every modified truck i have had in the past. Looked like a good time! You should grab their compressor so you don't burn up the locker one plus the 10cfm will get it done way faster on those 40's.haha
I'm not hating as I love all trucks and I've have had 02 Tacoma and 3 Rubicons {2 two doors and now a Gladiator}. Glad to see the Yoda's with straight axles for sure. I also have a Polaris razor HL and can say independent work great on light buggies, but suck on these heavy vehicles on off camber down hill descents. Sure there are pros and cons on everything, but I'll take a straight axile any day.
2jz with a turbo. Will be walking thoughs hellturd engines lol. Killer rigs. We have a stock 24 trd Pro 4runner and a 19 trd or manual Tacoma. I plan on a 3 inch lift and 33s for now from accutune. You're a wicked advertisement for the Martec kit! Truck works so good dude! And looks good too... The front end swap is killer.
You had the best rig hands down. Way more flex and you built yours with your own hands not bought.
Respect !! 🙏
Plus those tires are crazy!!
Some nice lookin rigs there
Awesome video! The whipsaw claims another tail light! What an incredible rig you built buddy.
The taco is an animal! Im so proud of the work you put in. It clearly pays off. More Fenix pls.
both are solid trucks indeed.
Awesome channel I hope I find you on the trails one day.
That Tacoma is a beast damn
Nice saucy soft taco, not even a bit crunchy. Nice build!
Honestly the Toyota tacoma is the best pick up truck ever ❤

Great episode man! As always
great job on the build ,have fun
Great Job and the one ton Taco Bro! Proof you don't need a 125K+ rig like Shawn & Casey to enjoy offroading!
Stay Safe!
totally agree. that and being the toyo was built at home and I believe the other where handed over to a professional shot to be done.
I mean they are damn near equal value.
Wait what? 😆 you think that Tacoma was cheap??
This really shows what a massive advantage the solid axle has over the ifs. That 4 runner was struggling
The 4Runner had significantly smaller tires.
That Tacoma is a MONSTER!
I love the tacooo its awesome. But it would be nice to see the 4runner too

Great job on you build very cool truck
Such good footage!
Good build, I think you need a weak swaybar up front and more flex in the rear.
Putting a solid front axle on a Taco is a great mod, it basically makes it a Jeep.
With a drivetrain that won’t implode, yeah.
Just realized your taco has 3rd gen front and 2nd gen rear. Is it the engine 3rd gen or 2nd gen?
Its a 2010, engine is a 4.0 from 2nd gen.

Tacoma on 33’s pretty much goes everywhere ahhhh Tacoma with SAS on 40’s forget about it, it’s unstoppable!
