Even though it's just a drone, what makes it so sad is all the hard work, dedication and memories compacted in one tiny two blade helicopter, served it's mission in excess. RIP Ingenuity.

The Thunderbolts Project (Electric Universe) has a totally different take on what caused these dendridic channels. It's more consistent with your observation. They are the result of massive electrical discharges - massive lightning strikes at an electrically active period. Not the result of water flow. It's a compelling argument. It can be replicated in the lab. I don't pretend to know what happened on Mars a few billion years ago.

Perhaps a future mission will repair it.That would be quite a ways down the list as more areas need exploring, and so many tests are already planned, and the equipment being built for them that something to change the prop isn't feasible.Thank You to the teams that built and ran Ingenuity !
