Thanks so much Ken ! This video is really helpful. And thanks for the mention. !
If i could only say thank you a hundred times. You sure are helpin out this newbie!!!!
Really well done video - thank you!
Thanks for the video! Dimensional lumber in the US is 1/2" smaller in both height and width than how they are sold. The neck stock that you are using (3/4" x 1 1/2") started as a 1" x 2" rough-cut piece of wood. Once dried, the mill will plane 1/4" off of each side, making the final product the new dimension.
Beatifull guitarrs🌈🎧🍀🎶🍀🎨✌️👏👏📻❤️🧘
Thanks for all the good info. It is very helpful. Appreciate your time.
Thanks Franko S.
Muchas gracias Maestro !!
Saludos
Thanks for watching)))
Good video. Thanks for cd heads up. Thank you.
When i build a diddley bow or a cigar box guitar i copy all the neck dimensions and bridge placement from a 6 string guitar i have including the fret spacing, they all sound great, it's just easier for me, thanks for the great video👍.
Perfect. Thanks for watching Scott
When would is sold as 2 inches, they are referring to the dimensions of the green cut wood. The wood shrinks when drying.
sivad2 not completely. They are losing some due to the saw curff in the Wood. You have to pay for that too.
Hi, you're videos are excellent. What wood did you recommend for the neck?
AlmostAnalogue oak, poplar or maple. Check the precut lengths at the hardware store Thanks for watching
@@paulmerojunkpileguitars is soft Maple ok?
Looks like you had 11 and 12 mm between centre and outer strings there not 7.
Yep I agree there was no 7mm measurement there, although over here we don't use new fangled fancy metric systems so I make it 10 to the minus 6 of a mile LOL.
What is the name of those brass nuts on the threaded nut?
Acorn nuts. Lamp parts section
Hey Paul,
Should the spacing between the edge and center strings at the nut be the same as the spacing established by the tail?
Theoretically yes. Using the junk I do, maybe not. Thanks for watching)))
@@paulmerojunkpileguitars You're welcome. Thank you.
Do you live in Wisconsin? If so, whereabout?
Not since 1980
Some English woodworkers use inches saying that is better for fine work. I dunno, I can't cut a straight line
In Europe we use the metric system, unless we talk about television screen size or rims. The reason they say it’s 3 inch but when you measure it’s 2 1/2 inch is because you measured it flat, they measured it across or diagonally.
Hope this will clarify it to some Ignorant metricphobes out there
hallobre I sho hope so. Thanks for watching
Umm play the instrument. Good video anyways.
I would if I could. Thanks for watching.
We live in America. Stop the MM crap...
pat welch not to worry Mr Happy, they’ll cover it in 4th grade
Love the metric haters😂😂😂
Have you worked on your cars lately?
OK Boomer, Pretty sure even engineering courses in the US are in metric.
