Insomniac Marvel's Wolverine PS5 Leaks! | Hackers Release Gameplay, Release Dates, Venom Game & More

- Insomniac Games recently suffered a massive ransomware attack from hackers that have stolen over 1TB of data from their upcoming and unannounced games like Marvel's Wolverine, a new Venom Game, Xmen Games, a New Ratchet & Clank, and Spider-Man 3 set to release not only on the PlayStation 5, but also on the PS5 Pro, PS6, and PC. All these games have release windows set starting in 2025 and the licensing agreements from Marvel were also included in the leaks. Among the leaks was several minutes of Wolverine Gameplay and Cutscenes, key story details, the cast, game locations, and tons more info than what we saw in the Marvel's Wolverine PS5 Reveal trailer. On top of all this we got key insight into how Sony is planning to combat the Xbox Series X & Xbox Game Pass given Microsoft's recent acquisition of Activision.

It's way worse. The only thing that leaked on GTA 6 was some early alpha footage, which game some hints on characters/setting. Literally the entire Wolverine game leaked, including story, characters and gameplay.

Yeah the first thing I did with Metal Gear Rising and Hogwarts Legacy was installing the mods that removed the over the shoulder camera, and one of the first things I modded into Little Witch Nobeta was removing the over the shoulder camera.
OTS camera perspectives are ass cancer on gaming. You can only make a point for their existence with survival horror games.

The most important thing is that there is a 15gb PC build of the game that is playable. People will be playing it by the end of the day

My theory on how they will release these titles quick to meet marvels quota is that they'll just copy and paste most of the animations for either spider man and wolverine and reuse them to make Venom, X-Men and other marvel games. They'll be cutting lots of corners to put out these games quick

I am not overtly happy with how God of War is now played as that over the shoulder RPG type. I far preferred the original gameplay on the PS2 titles and the 3. GoW 3 still holds up even today.

Tbf, Jean is one of the most powerful red heads in all of comics, and she does save Wolverine at times in the comics (not talking about current woke comics either), but yea I wouldn't be surprised if the way she saves him here will be very emasculating. After Spider mid 2 I was already planning on skipping on Wolverine. Thank you for confirming this is the right call. Inserting a new female character that you have to play as is not what I want. Of course she will likely be superior to Wolverine story wise and they will force identity politics into the story. Why couldn't they just make a fun gritty story focused on Logan?

@@alexbrown1884 nothing inherently. But Marvel has had a tendency in the last 5 years to insert new female leads at the expense of the existing beloved iconic male heroes. In a game called Wolverine I don’t want to have to worry about identity politics being front stage. If they do it tactfully and the new female character doesn’t take away from Logan than it can be done well but Disney hasn’t shown the willingness to do that. And Spider-Man 2 also forced MJ front and center bc “it was important”

The last game ever done for the Classic God of war style was made prior tò the reboot called God of war ascension. That game could been made good canditate for an PS4 Port would take advantage for 60fps. But unfortunetly all we got Is God of war 3 remastered.

The only positive thing I can say about the leaks is that it does seem to be a properly M-rated game in terms of violence... but I'm so fricking sick of the over-the-shoulder camera angle popularized by GOW2018. I'm fine seeing that camera in more intentionally claustrophobic games like survival/action horror titles, but I miss the days when combat could be presented the way classic God of War, Devil May Cry, Dante's Inferno, Prototype 1 and 2, and other action-focused games did so. Zoom the camera out for crying out loud! Also, won't be surprised if Jean Grey will take center stage here along with constantly telling Logan/James Howlett that he's inferior to her in every way. Can't wait to see the soy bois defend this game when it releases in that predictable state where it does way more to take control away from playing as Wolverine than it does to actually make a truly engaging game that has gameplay up front before anything else. At least, this still looks leagues better than what I think will happen to that upcoming Blade game. At this point, I'll just keep replaying the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game for the nth time.
I just want to know which Warhammer game you're playing in the background. I'm still relatively new to WH40K, roughly familiar with the lore but never got into the tabletop aspect and hoping soon to get into the books, looking for the few PC games that have been made - just the shooters, not interested in the RTS games I've seen for it - and have both Space Marine and Chaosbane in my Steam library, need to play them eventually.

Wolverine origins game was amazing so I can’t help but see Insomniac wolverine as an inferior breed. I know it’s somewhat unfair since it’s not finished yet, but the skeleton system of the game is already made so I can’t really see them making any drastic changes. Hopefully my worries are for nothing but Sweet Babies probably has their hands in it. So it’s probably best to avoid it like the plague.

After going through all the leaks, I'm completely underwhelmed. Definitely not gonna fork over 70 dollars for another Movie Game. The camera choice is definitely God of War 2018 inspired. The melee looks dialed back, but with blood. The forced "detective mode" insomniac keeps shoe-horning is back, the Jean Grey gameplay looks chaotic. The plot doesnt respect source material either. Insomniac really rode the coattails of Spider-Man PS4's success.

It's too early to make a judgment based on a very early version of the game, but I don't see anything interesting in the design documents either. I think the best Wolverine game will still be X-Men Origins.
